Chapter 230 You're Pressing on the Towel

The spots where her fingers touched seemed to heat up.

His breath faltered for a moment.

Selena, though, just kept applying the ointment, making sure she didn't miss a spot before grabbing the bandage to wrap it up again.

But to wrap the bandage, just like before, she had to lean in, bringing them closer, their breaths almost mixing.

Raymond turned his head away, his brows knitting together.

Selena knew he wasn't a fan of being too close to women, so she sped up.

As she finished the last loop, she let out a sigh of relief. But her breath brushed against Raymond's skin, making his hand jerk back instinctively.

"Done."

Selena felt a bit uneasy and quickly tried to step back.

But because Raymond's hand had pushed back, it caught the edge of the towel, causing it to come undone as she moved away.

Raymond turned his head, only to find the towel falling over his face.

Selena was utterly flustered and instinctively used the towel to cover his eyes.

Raymond didn't say anything, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

Selena was completely naked, with the towel covering his face, sparing her from extreme embarrassment.

But Raymond's question made her feel even hotter all over.

She could only feign a calm tone. "You were holding onto my towel."

In her haste, she instinctively wanted to cover his eyes.

But now, realizing she had used the towel that was wrapped around her body to cover his face, she knew how inappropriate it was.

Her clothes were still soaking in the bathroom, completely unwearable, making her want to find a hole to crawl into out of embarrassment.

Raymond didn't say anything, taking the towel off his head.

"No..."

Selena felt extremely awkward, seeing him close his eyes and hand the towel back to her.

She stiffened, hearing his clear voice. "Don't want it?"

Selena quickly grabbed the towel and rewrapped it around herself.

She felt like the temperature around her had risen, and she was about to melt from the heat.

Raymond's gesture was very gentlemanly; with his eyes closed, he could only hear her fumbling to wrap the towel around herself.

The scent of the shower gel lingered at his nose, like her soft breath, gently coaxing at his ear.

After wrapping herself, Selena couldn't help but glance at him.

He still had his eyes closed, his eyebrows delicate, his demeanor extraordinary.

Saying he was the most handsome man in the world wouldn't be an exaggeration.

Because she had quieted down, Raymond guessed she was done and opened his eyes.

Selena didn't expect him to open his eyes suddenly, and their gazes locked instantly.

She had been staring at his face in a daze, though only for a few seconds, but now she felt caught and embarrassed.

She quickly looked away, awkwardly clearing her throat. "It's done."

Implying that he could leave now.

But Raymond didn't move. Selena in his eyes was now blushing all over, her hair messily draped over her shoulders, her small face full of unease, her eyes still as clear and rippling as that night.

Perhaps it was the tempting sound of the rain outside, Raymond lowered his lashes, stood up, and raised his hand to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear.

Selena was so scared she didn't dare move, her breath stopping. Just as she was about to ask what he was doing, a cool kiss trailed down from her earlobe.

Her pupils contracted slightly, her mind going blank, and all she could hear was the rain outside.
