Chapter 61 Sharing a Kiss Through Water
Mia felt a bit let down. She thought she had met a real artist, but turns out Selena was just a mistress.
Mia sighed to herself, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
She quietly watched Raymond, curious about his reaction to his designer being a mistress.
But Raymond stayed cool. He even picked up the water the waiter brought and took a calm sip, like all the drama had nothing to do with him.
There were whispers around them.
"No wonder she acts so bold, using that pretty face to be a mistress and all."
"Whose family did she mess up? Looks like she's been a mistress since her school days."
"What a waste."
"Isn't she shameless? Even after being exposed, she's still so calm."
Everyone's eyes drifted to Selena. She stood there quietly, her brows slightly furrowed.
"Ms. Stone, Ms. Adams, don't you know you should be responsible for what you say?" Selena said.
Selena slowly pulled out her phone, looking indifferent. "Ms. Stone, I gave you a chance."
She tapped play, and Samantha's voice filled the room.
"Back then, you tried to seduce Kross and got chased to school by his wife, who poured paint all over you. It was a huge scandal. Do you think everyone has forgotten after all these years? Besides, I'm now the Department Chair. Mr. Walsh often asks me about you. Think about it. If he knows where you are, would he come looking for you? He's kicking himself for not getting what he wanted. He's been obsessed with you." The room fell silent in shock.
Samantha, a teacher and Department Chair, said such things to a former student. What kind of person was she?
Selena lightly held her phone between her fingers.
Selena lightly held her phone between her fingers, saying, "Ms. Stone, why don't you tell us whose mistress I was back then? Your lover Kross? It's a pity that you admitted in the recording that when you and he forced me, I resisted with all my might. To make me obey, you even spread rumors that I plagiarized, almost preventing me from getting my diploma. You even had my competition entry returned. Ms. Stone, you seem to be doing well now. I wonder how many students you've forced in secret, sending them to Kross's bed."
Samantha's face instantly turned pale.
Selena smiled and looked at the police, pointing at Samantha. "Officer, I want to sue Ms. Adams for defamation, and I also want to sue Ms. Stone from Silver Bay University for slander and coercing students into sexual transactions with investors. The evidence of her coercion is on her phone."
The video Samantha used to threaten Selena had now become the most damning evidence against her.
Selena knew about the video's existence, which is why she had the guts to spill the truth now.
This was Silver Bay University, surrounded by a lot of important people. The cops quickly had someone grab Samantha's phone.
Samantha went limp, looking to Albert for help.
Albert's face went pale, his lips trembling, almost fainting on the spot.
Samantha's phone was taken, and it had a hidden file with videos of her coercing female students through entrapment.
Some were utterly broken, giving up on the industry entirely.
Some didn't even get their diplomas, becoming the laughingstock of their families.
The art studio at the university was big, big enough to hold various trophies; but it was also small, too small to hold the dreams of a group of girls.
When the cops saw those videos, their expressions changed immediately. Silver handcuffs were slapped on Samantha.
The police said, "Ms. Stone, the evidence is clear. Please come with us."
After speaking, the police turned to Emily, "Ms. Adams, please come with us to make a statement."
Emily was completely bewildered, not understanding how things had escalated to this point.
Meanwhile, Samantha, feeling completely weakened, collapsed to the ground, unable to rise.
It was over.
Everything was over.
The video not only failed to threaten Selena but also became the evidence that would send Samantha to prison.
How could this happen?
Samantha almost desperately grabbed Albert's pant leg.
Samantha sobbed, "Mr. Sanchez! Save me! You were involved in her case back then! Didn't you approve of what I did?"
Albert stepped back in fright, almost wanting to kick Samantha away.
But Samantha was too panicked, desperately clinging to Albert as her last hope.
The police looked at Selena, seeking confirmation on whether Albert was innocent.
With so many influential figures watching, this matter was too significant to be treated lightly. They couldn't afford to be negligent.
Selena frowned, "Mr. Sanchez, Ms. Stone mentioned you. Aren't you going to explain?"
Albert was stunned with fear, unable to meet Selena's eyes. He lost all his previous composure and eventually fainted.
The police had no choice. Even though Albert had fainted, they had to take him for questioning.
Samantha was pushed forward, glaring viciously at Selena, cursing, "Bitch! You bitch! I should have killed you back then. How could I lose to you?"
Back then, Selena was under their control. Just a few years, and she had managed to push them into such a miserable state?
The room was silent; no one spoke.
Countless eyes were on Selena as she simply sat back down, picked up a cup, and took a sip of water.
Raymond, sitting next to her, frowned. That was his water; he had just drunk from it.
