Chapter 211 You Hid My Man
She plopped down somewhere and rubbed her temples.
Selena thought, 'Maybe I should just head back to Rose Garden. I'm going to Ridgefield tomorrow anyway. Doesn't really matter where I crash tonight, so why hide from Raymond at Ashbourne Manor?'
She grabbed a cab back to Rose Garden. After a nice, relaxing bath, just as she was about to chill, there was this loud banging on the door.
Her eyebrows knitted together as she walked over and saw it was that woman who had tangled with Jacob last time.
The woman wasn't wearing makeup today, but her thick black eyebrows and eyeliner were probably tattooed, making her look kinda odd even without makeup.
"Bitch! Open the door!"
The woman was pounding on the door like she was about to break it down.
But the door was solid, so all she was doing was annoying the neighbors.
The woman kept banging, waking up Lillian across the hall.
Lillian, in her pajamas, saw the woman at the door and frowned, realizing she wasn't someone to mess with.
"What do you want with her?"
"That bitch hid my man!"
Hearing this, Lillian's eyes flashed, and she sneered at Selena's door.
So, she wasn't just messing with Carter and Raymond; she even went after this woman's man.
Lillian recorded the scene and asked the woman.
"Why did she hide your man?"
The woman, now furious, pounded on the door a couple more times.
"How should I know! That bitch is being kept by some boss! She's so cheap!"
The woman's words were harsh, and she kept cursing at the door.
Selena naturally wasn't going to open the door. This woman didn't know how to hold back, and if a fight broke out, it would just be a scene for others to laugh at.
She called the property management. But since the woman was also a resident, they didn't dare to act forcefully.
After recording the scene, Lillian went back to her room and asked Carter for Grace's phone number.
"Carter, it was really awkward meeting your mom last time. I just want to find a chance to talk to her properly."
Lillian usually acted very humbly in front of Carter, always appearing vulnerable.
Carter didn't suspect anything and immediately sent her the number.
Lillian snorted softly and sent the video to Grace, along with a text message: [Another woman caused trouble at Selena's door tonight. If you care about Carter, tell him to avoid such women.]
Grace received the text, opened the video, and her face darkened.
As far as she knew, it was a fact that Selena had spent a night with Raymond. Now, with another woman causing trouble, how many people had she been involved with?
Grace, being involved in the business world and sometimes participating in decisions for the Montague Group, preferred capable and straightforward women for her son.
But Lillian clearly had her own schemes.
Grace watched the video, thought for a moment, and forwarded it to Raymond: [End with her.]
Raymond had just finished working overtime and was about to rest after a shower when he saw the video, his brows furrowing.
With Selena's personality, she definitely wouldn't be seeing other men.
He knew she and Carter were innocent.
And the woman causing trouble was her cousin's woman.
Seeing that the video was quite long and the woman had been causing trouble for a while without Selena opening the door, it seemed Lucas wasn't home.
Raymond's mind flashed back to the scene of Lucas getting into a car with another woman.
When it came to marriage, she was quite composed.
Selena was indeed composed at this moment. Knowing the woman wouldn't break in, she went to her bedroom.
Since she couldn't sleep with all the noise, she opened Raymond's chat and sent him a message: [Sir, I need to discuss the flooring tomorrow. The recent progress will have to wait until I return to report.]
Raymond read her diligent work report while watching the fierce woman in the video banging on the door.
He chuckled and replied: [Can't sleep?]
