Chapter 139 Ruin Him
Everyone thought Raymond would skip out. He always thought these games were just dumb drama between guys and girls.
But Alex? He was a master at stirring the pot.
So when people heard that Raymond was in, the place buzzed. The single ladies perked up, hoping for a dare that'd get them close to him.
Everyone knew Raymond had a thing with Olivia ages ago and had been single since, supposedly because of her. So, most women who had a crush on him eventually gave up.
But hey, even a little flirt with Raymond was worth bragging about.
Before the game kicked off, Alex laid down the law. "Alright, if you're playing, no backing out on a dare."
He shot a look at Selena and grinned, "Penny, you cool with that?"
Selena, having agreed to Caterlington, wasn't about to chicken out now.
"Sure, no problem," she said.
With that, Alex spun the bottle.
Whoever it landed on had to pick truth or dare.
Everyone had a glass of super pricey wine, the cheapest bottle being a hundred grand.
Selena had tasted it before, but seeing it being tossed back like water was her first real peek into Silver Bay City's high life.
She could handle her booze and took a small sip.
As she raised her hand, her elbow brushed against Raymond's chest.
The room was filled with the scent of wine, not the harsh smell of alcohol, but a rich fragrance.
Alcohol always made things more charged, especially for two people with history.
When Raymond felt her touch, his breath caught, and he glanced at her.
But Selena was focused on the spinning bottle, not him.
Whether it was the booze or something else, her faint smile etched itself in Raymond's mind, making him smile a bit too.
Selena held her wine glass, feeling a rare sense of fun playing with her peers.
Her light lipstick left a mark on the glass, and her eyes followed the bottle as it stopped.
It pointed to Caterlington.
Alex grinned, fiddling with the bottle. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth. If I pick dare, I might get into trouble tonight." Caterlington chuckled.
His friends booed and laughed.
Alex joined in, then asked, "Mr. Walsh, when was the last time you had sex?"
Caterlington had been cool, but that question made him squirm.
He had promised to wait for Selena to get divorced, but Alex just outed him.
"Last week," Caterlington admitted reluctantly.
"What day?" Alex pressed.
"Alex, that's a second question," Caterlington protested, trying to regain his composure.
Alex chuckled and spun the bottle again. "Mr. Walsh, with all your women, I thought it was tonight."
Caterlington felt like Alex was out to ruin him!
The bottle landed on a few more people. Alex's questions were bold but didn't cross any lines.
Except for Caterlington, who got grilled twice, making everyone laugh at his playboy rep.
Even though he was one, Selena felt a bit sorry for him.
Just as she thought that, the bottle stopped on Raymond.
The room went silent. Everyone wanted to dig into Raymond's private life.
Raymond, cool as ever, said, "Truth."
Everyone leaned in, eager to hear.
Caterlington, thinking Alex might go easy on Raymond, pushed him. "Alex, everyone's watching. Don't go soft."
Alex grinned, "No worries, I'm curious too. So, Raymond, when was your first time having sex?"
