Chapter 261 She Is Someone Raymond Cares About

Raymond turned his head and spotted Mason, who was completely wasted.

He knew that face; last time he was at Cornerstone Construction, this guy was tearing into Lucas.

Now Mason was being held up by his buddies, still mouthing off about Lucas.

"I have no clue what kind of pull he has with Selena to get her help and swipe my manager gig. He’s gonna get what’s coming to him. Even if I leave Cornerstone Construction, I’ve got other options. I’ll ruin him for sure!"

"Bet they’ve got some shady deal going on!"

Raymond remembered seeing Lucas and Selena at Cornerstone Construction that morning and just smirked.

Helping her husband get ahead at work, she sure had her hands full.

But that was none of his business.

Raymond shot Mason a cold look and then headed into the bar.

Mason was only here because his friends dragged him to this fancy bar; he’d never been here before.

This place was a hotspot for the rich kids, and a lot of folks from the Silver Bay City crowd loved it.

Tonight, someone was throwing a welcome party for Olivia with friends from the circle.

Olivia was well-liked, so a lot of women her age were fans, including Emily.

When Emily saw Olivia, her face lit up. "You're finally back! Silver Bay City’s got another top beauty now!"

Olivia, with Sofia by her side, sat among a lively group. Everyone was thrilled to see her.

After all, she was the only girl Raymond had ever publicly acknowledged.

Who knew, by the end of the month, she might be Mrs. Montague.

Raymond was tough to get close to, but Olivia was easier.

When Raymond went abroad for three years, he was a big deal among the younger crowd.

So, when he came back, he took over the Montague Group’s business completely.

Even while he was away managing the Montague Group from afar, the stock price doubled, and William couldn’t stop bragging about Raymond.

And now Raymond was still young, not even twenty-four yet. For the next thirty years, the financial world would be his playground. If you could get on his good side, you’d be set.

Amidst all the greetings, Olivia kept smiling.

The Stone family wasn’t really in this league, but she was someone Raymond cared about.

Sitting next to her, Sofia also got to meet a lot of socialites in the circle.

Everyone was buzzing.

"Olivia, we heard Raymond’s Manston Manor is under construction. Are you moving in with him? Are you guys getting married once it’s done?"

As for Raymond’s so-called wife, no one cared.

To this day, they didn’t know what she looked like or even her name.

They just knew she wasn’t a socialite and her family relied on the Montague Group. Her background couldn’t even compare to the Stone family. Plus, Olivia was someone Raymond had liked for years, so that so-called wife didn’t stand a chance.

Olivia wanted to play it cool at first. But seeing so many people asking, she just smiled.

"I’ve seen the house at Manston Manor and really like the layout."

The hint was clear: Raymond started the renovation for her, and she’d naturally move in with him.

The villa wasn’t huge, but the layout was gorgeous. A lot of people had their eyes on it back then. But when they heard it was for Raymond, no one tried to compete.

After all, everyone had more than one villa, and it was a good chance to do a favor.

"But we heard William still likes the current one. Have you met her?"

Hearing this, Olivia’s face darkened a bit.

A woman who took someone else’s place, someone Raymond didn’t even care about, so why should she bother meeting her?

"I mentioned it to Raymond, but he said it wasn’t necessary."

With that, everyone got the message: Raymond was set on getting a divorce.
