Chapter 1466 It Turns Out Selena Is Here
The car zigzagged through the city streets and finally stopped right in the middle of downtown.
Selena glanced up and saw her own photo plastered on a gigantic screen.
It was smack dab in the center of the swankiest building, with a message next to it: [Selena, my number is...]
Her heart skipped a beat. She quickly opened the car door and stepped out.
As she looked up, the photo on the screen seemed even bigger, accompanied by Raymond's message.
Her cheeks flushed with excitement as she hurriedly pulled out her phone and dialed the number.
But before the call connected, a woman's voice came from nearby.
"Is that you?"
Selena turned to see a stunning woman, swaying slightly as she walked.
The woman approached and scrutinized her closely.
"You must be Selena."
"And you are?"
The woman extended her hand gracefully, a smile playing on her lips. "Raymond woke up in my room the first night. He was my first guest."
Selena ignored her and put the phone to her ear.
The call connected, but the ringtone came from the woman's bag.
The woman pulled out the phone, saw the unfamiliar number, and then noticed Selena still dialing. She raised an eyebrow.
"Is this your call? Raymond's phone is with me."
Though the woman appeared composed, there was a hint of smugness in her expression.
"I forgot to mention, I'm his savior, and he bought me a big house."
She tossed her hair back. "Want to come stay, Selena?"
She was clearly showing off.
Selena wanted to get back in the car, but a few passersby recognized the woman.
"Violette, why aren't you with Raymond today? Doesn't he take you everywhere? Didn't he say he'd marry you as his second wife?"
The man's gaze shifted to Selena, and he quickly covered his mouth.
"Oh, Selena's here. No wonder you look upset. But getting a house and a car in less than a week with Raymond is quite a haul. It's a game-changer for you."
Violette waved them off, smiling. "Don't say that, Selena's right here."
She watched Selena's reaction, expecting anger, but Selena simply asked, "Where is Raymond now?"
Violette's demeanor changed instantly. "Why should I tell you?"
She waved Raymond's phone and scoffed, "Find him yourself if you can."
Just then, another person got out of Selena's car. It was Mario.
Mario, looking a bit clueless, grabbed Selena's hand. "Selena, there's no one else. I'm not with Violette. I care about you."
He seemed to genuinely believe he was Raymond.
Violette, about to retort, paused when she saw his face. He did resemble Raymond. Could they be related?
Selena, in no mood for nonsense, opened the car door and pushed Mario back inside.
Ignoring Violette, she walked into the building managing the large screen.
"How much for a minute on the big screen outside? I want to buy half a month."
The receptionist smiled politely. "Sorry, Mr. Montague has it booked for a month."
"Then I'll take the slightly smaller screen across from it. I just need to post a message."
The receptionist processed the request and quoted the price: one million dollars.
Selena swiped her card without hesitation.
Ten minutes later, a new message lit up on the screen opposite the largest one.
[Raymond, it's Selena. My number is...]
As long as Raymond saw the message, he would come find her.
