Chapter 164 Why Was She Acting All Innocent Now?
Raymond had hurt his hand for Selena before, and the scar was still there. He even went to the kidnappers to save her.
Every time he saw her, something bad happened, but Raymond never cared.
Wasn't it only fair for her to bring him some soup? Why did she look so relieved?
Raymond's eyes turned cold.
Selena didn't look at anyone, grabbed the documents, and left.
Sofia wasn't about to miss a chance to mock her and quickly followed.
As soon as the door closed, Sofia's smug look was obvious.
"Now you should give up, right? Olivia and Raymond are so tight; no one can come between them," Sofia sneered.
Selena found it amusing, waiting for the elevator while Sofia kept taunting her.
Sofia couldn't stand her calm attitude.
She was the one seducing men, so why was she acting all innocent now?
Sofia went on, "By the way, I heard you're getting close to Caterlington too. Wow, you've really been busy. With so many guys around you, no wonder Raymond doesn't like you."
The elevator arrived, and Selena walked in, still ignoring her.
Sofia was fuming, cursing, "You bitch!" She stepped forward, and raised her hand to slap Selena.
Selena grabbed her wrist, pressed her against the wall, and said coldly, "Mr. Stone, I thought you'd learned your lesson. Always talking about Olivia, does Olivia know about your feelings for Mr. Montague?"
Sofia's face went pale. Olivia must never find out about this.
"Let me go!" Sofia yelled.
Selena glanced at the surveillance camera. This was the Montague Group's territory. She didn't want to hurt Sofia here and then have Raymond come after her to please Olivia, so she let Sofia go.
Since no one pressed the button, the elevator stayed on the top floor and didn't go down.
Neither of them noticed this.
Sofia was also a troublemaker. She couldn't believe she couldn't handle a mere designer.
Selena didn't seem to have any background.
As soon as Selena let go, Sofia raised her hand to slap her again.
A cold glint flashed in Selena's eyes, and she kicked Sofia's knee.
The kick was unexpected. Though it didn't hurt, the position was perfect, and Sofia fell to her knees.
At that moment, the elevator door opened, and Raymond and several executives stood outside.
The elevator was on the top floor, so it opened as soon as someone pressed the button outside.
Selena realized she had forgotten to press the button for the first floor and pursed her lips.
Sofia was kneeling on the ground, her eyes red as she stood up, crying.
"Mr. Montague..." Selena said.
Raymond looked up, his gaze falling lightly on Selena. He had already seen Selena's methods at Silver Bay University. She was somewhat assertive and eloquent.
But he didn't expect her to dare to act in the Montague Group as well.
Before Raymond could speak, an executive interrupted, "Mr. Stone, what's going on?"
Everyone's eyes were on Selena.
Selena suddenly smiled, bent down, and patted Sofia's knees.
Selena added, "The elevator just shook. The surveillance probably flickered a few times too. Mr. Stone got scared. Are you okay now?"
Sofia wanted to complain but was silenced by this statement.
Selena was telling her that there were surveillance cameras in the elevator. If she lied, Selena wouldn't mind checking the footage, and it would be even more embarrassing for her.
Sofia gritted her teeth with rage, her chest heaving violently.
'Selena, that bitch! Why does she always get the better of me? Damn it!' Sofia cursed inside.
