Chapter 336 Apex Holdings Group

Kenny's muffled voice shouted, "Stop fighting! I'll give you $70,000 if you just stop!"

But the guy kept swinging the bat and yelled back, "You messed with my sister's heart, and now you're gonna pay!"

Kenny had a history with lots of women, and he had a thing going on with the company's receptionist lately.

The receptionist was young, and Kenny liked her a lot. He gave her $3,000 a month, and she'd do anything for him.

To him, these relationships were just business deals, so how could he have messed with any woman's heart?

The guys beating him up were just using any excuse they could find. They only stopped when Kenny couldn't move anymore, then they quietly left.

They had already taken out the surveillance cameras, so Kenny wouldn't be able to track them down later.

Kenny ended up in the hospital at 3 AM, straight into the emergency room.

Selena had just wanted Shelley's people to break one of his legs, but they went way harder than she expected.

Even Shelley was a bit taken aback. Luckily, Kenny's life wasn't in danger. He just had to stay in the hospital, which happened to be the same one as James.

When Beatrice came the next day, she rushed into Kenny's room. "Kenny, you scared me to death! Who did this to you?"

Beatrice was furious and wanted to find out who was behind this and get revenge.

Kenny's face was a mess, all bruised and swollen, and his eyes were full of anger.

He was supposed to be on a plane escaping abroad; how did it come to this?

Kenny was almost grinding his teeth, while Beatrice sat on the bed, wanting to hold his arm.

Just then, someone knocked on the door. Beatrice quickly moved back to the chair.

When the door opened, Selena walked in. Through the small window on the door, it seemed like the two were very close.

Selena said to Kenny, "How are you holding up? I heard you've been handling the company's affairs lately. Must be tough."

Kenny's eyes narrowed when he saw Selena. But he still responded politely, "Thank you, Miss Fair, for visiting. The company's matters are my responsibility."

Selena sat down and her gaze fell on Beatrice, sizing her up.

Beatrice had been on edge these days. When she heard that James had opened his eyes, her face turned pale when she saw Selena.

"Aunt Beatrice, you don't look so good," Selena said casually. "Haven't been sleeping well?"

Beatrice stood up, her face blank. "Your dad had an accident, and now Kenny's in trouble too. I'm starting to think our family is cursed. I should go to church and pray. Kenny, take care of yourself. I'll check on you later."

Beatrice's back was drenched in cold sweat.

She walked stiffly to the door. Once it closed, she let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Selena stayed inside, staring right at Kenny. "I heard you recently signed a deal for the company. I asked the business department, but they didn't recognize me, so they didn't tell me. But Kenny, you know who I am; you are willing to tell me, right?"

Kenny's hand under the blanket clenched into a fist. "Why does Miss Fair want to know this?"

Selena said, "Kenny, just tell me the name of the company you're partnering with."

Kenny stiffened, then a hint of mockery appeared in his eyes. "It's Apex Holdings Group."

So what if he told her? She was an art student; what could she possibly understand about finance?

Selena nodded and smiled at him. "Kenny, take care and get some rest."

It was already 7 AM. After getting back to Rose Garden, Selena immediately started digging up info on Apex Holdings Group.

There was a ton of stuff about Apex Holdings Group online, including photos of the company's president with foreign dignitaries, making it seem like Apex Holdings Group had gone global.

But Selena zeroed in on one particular photo. It was with a high-ranking official from Elaria. She remembered it because back in college, she had seen it on the Facebook pages of people selling stuff through social media. The official had charged $10,000 for the photo, and there were over 4,000 people in line that day.

During that time, almost everyone selling goods on social media platforms posted that picture on Facebook, just to fool the gulls.

Apex Holdings Group's model seemed very similar to those social media sellers. The only difference was that Apex Holdings Group was indeed a company, but its registered capital was only $104,000.

$104,000 wasn't much for a company; it was basically a shell company registered with personal funds.

Selena went to Apex Holdings Group's official website and found a recent update about their collaboration with the Fair family. A company with just $104,000 in registered capital was collaborating on a project worth $700 million with the Fair family!
