Chapter 296 Pick Selena Up Now

William lounged on the sofa while Fiona hurried over with a cup of tea, grinning from ear to ear.

He took the cup, casually lifted it, and used the lid to brush away the tea leaves floating on top.

With a firm voice, he said, "Miss Stone, you know Raymond's married, right? Ashbourne Manor is the wedding gift I gave to Selena. You barging in here like this—didn't the Stone family teach you any manners?"

"I—"

"Shut up!"

William set the teacup down, his sharp gaze cutting right through her.

"Call your parents. I want the Stone family here to pick you up. Since they didn't teach you not to chase after a married man, I'll do it tonight."

Olivia's eyes welled up with tears, and they started to fall.

Raymond, sitting nearby, frowned.

"Grandpa, Olivia's just a guest."

"You shut up too!"

William slammed the table, his eyes narrowing.

"Raymond, one more word and I won't cooperate with any hospital treatments in the future."

Raymond's heart sank, and he went silent.

William turned back to Olivia, sneering.

"What, don't know your parents' numbers?"

Olivia, still crying, pulled out her phone, clearly hesitant. If she got kicked out of Ashbourne Manor, the news would spread all over Silver Bay City by tomorrow, and she'd never live it down.

And William was using his health to threaten Raymond. Raymond couldn't do anything because if something happened to William, no one could bear the responsibility.

Olivia's face flushed with humiliation, and she clutched her phone tightly.

Tears streaming down her face, she pleaded, "Can you—"

Raymond rubbed his brow. "Grandpa, if you're mad I brought a woman here, I promise it won't happen again. I'll personally apologize to Selena. Is that okay?"

The implication was clear: don't embarrass Olivia too much. They'd known each other for years, after all.

William stood up and asked Fiona, "Where is Selena?"

She had called him earlier, but now she wasn't here. Could she have found a place to cry out of grievance?

Fiona wanted to spill everything Catherine had done, but she was just a servant.

"She had something to do and got held up outside."

William looked at Raymond. "Call her and go pick her up yourself. Apologize properly. Raymond, I respect you, not the Stone family. If you really make me angry, the Stone family won't be able to do business in Silver Bay City anymore. Olivia, I hope you recognize your own status. Coming here makes you nothing more than a mistress. It's not like your mother used this trick to climb up back then, and now you're following her example, right?"

That last sentence was a real slap in the face. Olivia stood up, crying, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably.

She instinctively wanted to lean on Raymond but stopped halfway, remembering William's words.

She bit her lip so hard it bled.

Over the years, because she had become Raymond's girlfriend, no one had mentioned her mother's past. She felt proud, but now the most powerful person in the Montague family was using this to humiliate her without mercy. She felt an unprecedented sense of shame.

"It's your mom's fault you picked up such bad habits. No matter how much Raymond doesn't like Selena, she can't be humiliated by a woman like you. Get out."

"Grandpa!"

Raymond's tone was severe, but thinking of his health, he was helpless.

Olivia, who had spent hours getting ready to come here, now could barely stand. Crying, she grabbed her bag and had to politely say goodbye to William.

"Then I'll leave now."

Her face was covered in tears, looking extremely fragile.

Raymond wanted to see her off, but William stopped him.

"Pick Selena up now. If she doesn't forgive you, you'll kneel outside Ashbourne Manor all night!"
