Chapter 1612 Dislike
As soon as Zaid left, Manuel started groping 00.
Raymond couldn't get down there, and he wasn't sure how many surveillance cameras were in Manuel's room, so he had to stay quiet.
Raymond had planned to pour the liquid from the bottle onto Manuel, but seeing 00 there, he realized he didn't need to worry anymore.
00 was someone he had chosen; she knew what to do.
Manuel showed an unusual enthusiasm when dealing with anyone connected to Octavia.
Though he was touching her, he didn't rush things. Instead, he grabbed 00's hair and carefully studied her face.
00 winced in pain, immediately showing weakness, tears welling up in her eyes.
Manuel raised an eyebrow, a smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
He suddenly remembered the thrill of imprisoning Octavia in the basement, a satisfaction beyond words.
"These eyes are quite nice. I regretted blinding Octavia's eyes back then, didn't have the heart to dig them out and preserve them. These eyes, though, might be worth it. What's your name?"
00's face turned red, and tears continued to flow.
Manuel hated women's tears the most. Women should be as resilient as Octavia, who tried to escape hundreds of times a year, giving him endless amusement.
Although the woman in front of him had beautiful eyes, her personality was too soft. He didn't like it.
He never showed mercy to things he disliked.
Several slaps landed on 00's face, her cheeks swelling, but her eyes remained clear.
Manuel stood up and kicked her in the stomach with his leather shoes, stomping hard.
Except for Octavia, he never showed any mercy to women. To him, women were just livestock, to be humiliated as he pleased.
He liked Octavia so much, yet he still blinded her.
Women were cheap, deservedly so.
If Octavia had been with him back then, she wouldn't have suffered all this.
Manuel felt an unprecedented sense of satisfaction. In the research base, no one could be bullied at will, but now he could finally torment someone to his heart's content.
His leather shoe kicked 00's head, and she lay on the ground, spitting out a bloody tooth.
"So weak? Do you know how long I beat Octavia back then?"
"You're nothing compared to Octavia."
"Octavia is my treasure. No wonder I like her so much. I can't even eat without watching her."
00 was grabbed by the hair again, her body covered in bruises.
Manuel found this incredibly boring. This woman was too weak, just crying and letting herself be beaten.
He suddenly lost interest and let her go.
00 curled up, trembling all over, looking completely harmless.
Manuel felt a wave of disgust, grabbed a nearby vial, intending to inject it into her body and then dig out her eyes.
During the process, she would feel pain but be completely unable to move.
But before the needle touched her skin, 00 suddenly grabbed his wrist, twisted the needle, and plunged it into Manuel's own body.
Because she had seemed so harmless, Manuel didn't react in time.
By the time he wanted to resist, the drug had already been injected.
After injecting the drug, she smashed a bottle in the room and stabbed the shards directly into Manuel's eyes.
Blinding one, then immediately blinding the other.
Her expression was calm. After finishing, she stabbed the shards into Manuel's stomach.
Manuel didn't die; the injected drug prevented him from screaming.
Fear appeared in his eyes, his body stiffening.
00 had used all her strength to do this.
She had killed Manuel, and soon others would discover it. Her life was at its end.
Perhaps this was her mission here. She didn't know if she had completed Raymond's task, but she had no energy left to do anything else.
She thought of the necklace around her neck, a smile forming at her lips.
Soon, the room caught fire, and a small explosion occurred.
00 died without ever having a proper name. As the flames approached, she still felt that the person she envied most in this world was Selena.
Because Selena had Raymond's love, and she wished she could experience it for just one second.
But she was ultimately just a stand-in, unworthy of even a name in Raymond's world.
