Chapter 1493 That Group Came Menacingly

Selena's face went ghostly white. What memory had surfaced to make him despise Raymond so intensely?

Hadn't he fully taken over this body?

Was Christopher really gone for good?

She stood there, paralyzed, as if someone had cast a spell on her.

Mario sneered, "Get out and lie down."

"I need the antidote," she demanded, her voice icy and unyielding.

"There is no antidote. Let that child die."

Those words hit Selena like a punch to the gut. She remembered losing her first child and lunged at him, grabbing his throat.

But she was too panicked, too terrified of what she had just ingested, even feeling like her stomach was already hurting.

"The antidote, give me the antidote!"

Mario didn't struggle because Selena had no strength left.

She frantically searched the table for the antidote, but there were too many bottles and jars, and she had no idea which one it was.

Mario brushed off imaginary dust from his clothes, maintaining a calm demeanor.

"I haven't made the antidote yet, and you don't have time."

Selena's mind went blank, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.

Mario knelt beside her, watching her dazed expression. He suddenly reached out and touched her cheek with his fingertip.

"Don't touch me!"

She slapped his hand away, looking at him like he was something disgusting.

Mario found it amusing, but after a few laughs, his eyes showed a hint of anger.

"Who can touch you then? Raymond? Yeah, you already have a child together. Who knows how many times you've slept with him."

"That's none of your business!"

"Selena, you'd better not provoke me."

Mario grabbed her hand and tore open the clothes in front of her.

"If I want to make it my business, I can do it right now."

Selena was trembling with anger but felt helpless. She didn't even know where she was.

In a fit of rage and having not eaten, she fainted from low blood sugar.

"Selena?"

"Selena!"

Mario called her name twice, then picked her up and carried her to the bed.

Meanwhile, a man in a black robe had arrived at the Schmidt estate.

This time, he was accompanied by several people from the Soto family.

Yosef had suffered a minor injury on the island and was here to discuss important matters with the Schmidt family.

Parker sat in the center, smiling. He was thin but didn't look weak.

"Yosef, what happened to you?"

Yosef looked pale and unwell from his injury.

"Parker, you must have heard. The Soto family was ambushed a few days ago. When I went to the island, those people followed and not only stole our medicine but also ambushed me. If they dare to rob the Soto family, they'll definitely target the Schmidt family next."

The implication was that the families should unite against this external threat.

A cold glint flashed in Parker's eyes. It was clear that the attack was aimed at the Soto family.

Yosef had suffered a loss and wanted to drag the other families into it.

But those people dared to target the medicine.

Parker frowned, not wanting Yosef to succeed but also worried about the threat to the man in the black robe.

He looked at the man in the black robe, who remained as silent as ever.

Parker replied, "I will consider this matter carefully. At least give me a month."

This was also the time Mario had promised to deliver the medicine. If Mario was indeed a highly skilled medical master capable of producing such medicine, the Schmidt family wouldn't need to deal with the man in the black robe anymore.

Yosef  said, "A month is a long time, Mr. Schmidt. You should think carefully. Those people are aggressive."

Raymond's face was hidden under the black robe. He noticed several maids moving in and out of the hall.

He greeted Yosef and then approached one of the maids, asking, "Excuse me, where's the restroom?"
