Chapter 394 Raymond Has a Woman Hidden

Looking back, Selena still found it funny that Steve never asked her real name, and she hadn't realized she had already accepted him as her teacher.

Steve's paintings achieved great success, but he hated socializing and avoided the camera, so few people knew what he looked like.

By chance, Selena discovered his flowing painting style was similar to that of a painter she admired. When she asked, she found out they were the same person, and she had unknowingly become Steve's student.

Steve never attended networking events, always calling the people there hypocritical.

"Penny, I sent the painting to you. Take a look and see if you like it. Don't be polite with me. The auction house has been asking about it for a long time. I gave them a vague answer. If you want it, I'll give it to you."

The affection in his words was almost overflowing.

In the early years, Steve would teach Selena some things, especially when they were in Ridgefield, where he taught her almost everything.

So that year, Selena made the fastest progress.

Later, Steve felt there was nothing more he could teach her, so he left to travel the world for inspiration.

Selena glanced at the painting.

Steve's style had become unique, and the landscapes he painted seemed to almost spill out of the paper.

Selena asked, "Do you have new inspiration this time? Your technique seems more experienced, as if you've entered another realm."

Steve adored Selena, absolutely adored her. Hearing her praise, he waved his hand grandly.

"I've replied to the auction. I'll have someone bring it back to you. By the way, isn't Raymond's grandmother, Abigail, having a birthday soon? Give this to her, and I guarantee she'll be very pleased with you."

Abigail didn't live in Silver Bay City. It was said that she moved away after Christopher's incident.

Selena had never met Christopher and didn't know what he looked like. It was only after Mia mentioned him that she learned more about him.

But it seemed that Christopher was indeed very popular in the Montague family.

Before Selena could reply, Steve chuckled on the other end.

"I think I have new inspiration again, Penny. I'll have someone send you this painting. I'm off to create a new one. If you ever feel wronged in Silver Bay City, don't keep it to yourself. You are always so quiet."

"Don't worry, I haven't been wronged." Steve sighed.

"Your personality is better suited to Christopher. He is gentle and mature. Raymond is too wild at heart and doesn't like to communicate much. I actually like him too. He comes from a wealthy family but can endure hardships. He even spent time in the military. But your personalities don't match."

To reassure him, Selena said, "He's actually quite good."

"Alright, as long as you like him. I'm hanging up now. Bye, Penny."

Selena found it amusing and continued to look at the picture he sent. There was a line of text on it, as free-spirited as Steve himself.

But if memory had served her well, Abigail didn't seem to like her when she was about to marry Raymond. It was only because William insisted.

Selena raised her hands to rub her temples. If Abigail was coming back, it would be trouble for her again.

Raymond looked at the document in front of him, processed it, and pushed it forward.

When John came out with the document, he ran into Olivia coming in.

Olivia thought Raymond wouldn't come to the office today, especially since he was at the hotel around noon.

And today was Saturday.

"Raymond, Elaria sent word that Steve's painting is indeed going to the auction. There should be a lot of people going there this week, even Paul is going. When are you leaving?"

Raymond admired Steve's work the most.

Olivia had prepared a lot of money this time and was determined to win the painting.

Abigail was returning to Silver Bay City, and she liked Olivia the most. She had strongly supported Raymond and Olivia's relationship back then.

It had nothing to do with anything else. Olivia had met Abigail by chance at church with her grandmother and made her very happy.

Olivia's lips curved into a smile. Using Steve's painting as a gift for Abigail, and given that Abigail didn't like Raymond's wife, it was likely that once she returned, the two would have to divorce.

Previously, Abigail had been far away and didn't want to interfere.

Raymond took a sip of the coffee beside him.

"Tomorrow morning."

Olivia's eyes lit up. She had waited in the hotel lobby for a long time today, only to see Raymond come out alone.

She wondered if she was overthinking it.

The hair might have been left by the cleaning staff, and the two pillows might be Raymond's habit.

After all, even if word got out that Raymond was hiding a woman, no one would believe it.
