Chapter 249 I Am About to Get Divorced

Raymond had just hopped into the car when Olivia called.

"Raymond, I've been waiting for twenty minutes. Where are you?"

Raymond checked his watch. "Just wrapped up the meeting. I'll be there in twenty."

"You're always so caught up in work. How could you leave me hanging like this?"

"Find a place to sit down."

Olivia's eyes welled up."Raymond, you've changed. You weren't like this before."

Raymond rubbed his temples, sounding distant. "I'll be there soon. The restaurant's already booked."

Olivia's expression softened a bit. "Okay, I'll wait."

After hanging up, Raymond drifted into thought.

John, sitting up front, glanced at him through the rearview mirror, gripping the steering wheel silently.

Twenty minutes later, the car pulled up at the airport.

Olivia spotted Raymond's car right away. Her eyes lit up, and she quickly ran over and opened the door.

"Raymond!" She called out sweetly and hugged him tight. "I really missed you."

Raymond stiffened, not moving.

After a moment, Olivia smiled. "Let's go eat. John, step on it; I'm starving."

She let go and sat beside him.

Raymond reached down and placed her small suitcase at his feet.

Seeing this, Olivia felt a warm glow inside.

Raymond's looks were undeniably striking, and his accommodating manner added a touch of nobility.

Olivia blushed a little and smiled sweetly.

"Sorry, I said you've changed. But you haven't. You're still so good to me."

Raymond didn't respond. After placing the luggage, he leaned back.

"How was your time abroad?"

"You've got some nerve asking. You never called me. If I hadn't reached out, would you have ever planned to contact me?"

Olivia felt a bit hurt talking about it.

The Stone family had always pampered her, and she was good at reading people, always gentle and proper. But with Raymond, she became delicate, wanting his attention and affection.

However, seeing the name of the restaurant, Olivia's smile widened.

It was her favorite spot.

"Raymond, you still remember my favorite place."

The car stopped at the restaurant entrance, and a gloved waiter came to open the door.

Olivia smiled politely at him, but seeing Raymond get out, she couldn't help but speak playfully, "By the way, after we eat, are we going to meet your wife?"

She had just returned and already wanted to assert her dominance.

Raymond's face turned colder. "Why meet her?"

Seeing his reluctance to mention her, Olivia felt pleased.

Sure enough, that woman meant nothing to Raymond.

"I just want to see what kind of woman William is into."

"It's just because she saved Grandpa."

So William had a soft spot for her.

Hearing his indifferent tone, Olivia couldn't help but hold his arm.

"So, you really don't like her at all?"

"Yeah."

Olivia felt completely satisfied. She had been worried while abroad and had come back early; otherwise, she would have continued the silent treatment with Raymond.

The restaurant door opened, and Olivia bumped into someone.

Raymond also looked over and noticed Caterlington.

Caterlington was holding a set of car keys. He raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"You're back?"

Olivia regained her composure and gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Caterlington, long time no see."

Caterlington's playboy reputation was no secret in Silver Bay City.

Caterlington glanced at Raymond and then at Olivia, his smile deepening with a knowing look.

"Congrats to Raymond for finally getting what you wanted. The person you've waited for all these years is finally back. Does this mean you'll be divorcing your wife soon?"

Raymond's expression grew colder, his sharp gaze falling on Caterlington.

But because of Caterlington's words, Olivia looked up at Raymond expectantly.

Realizing that Raymond wouldn't answer, she quickly found an excuse.

"Grandpa chose Raymond's wife. It might take some time. Why are you so interested in other people's family matters?"

Caterlington's hand was already on the glass door. "I'm not concerned about Raymond's private affairs. I'm concerned about my own. After all, he has to get divorced before I can openly have someone by my side."
