Chapter 149 Call Your Husband

Selena's head was spinning, but she could still feel the pain and the constant jostling of the car.

The car reeked of gasoline, making her feel sick to her stomach. She ended up puking.

A man's voice buzzed in her ears, and she could feel his hand creeping over her body.

The car was still moving, so the guy didn't try anything more.

It wasn't until they pulled up at an old, abandoned factory on the outskirts of town that he made his move. The place was deserted, just a bunch of cold, dead machines parked by the road.

Selena was tossed to the ground. When she managed to open her eyes, she saw two guys standing over her; one was chubby, the other skinny, both staring at her like she was a prize.

"Damn, this chick is hot. Never seen anyone this fine."

"Joe, you go first. Once you're done, I'll take my turn."

Joe Watson stepped forward, grabbed one of Selena's legs, and started dragging her.

Selena tried to fight back, her hands getting scraped and bloody from the gravel.

The pain snapped her out of her daze for a moment, and she slapped him. "Get lost!"

Joe, pissed off by the slap, yanked her hair. "You must have a death wish!" Then he slapped her hard.

Selena's mouth filled with blood, her eyes red with rage.

Joe's hands went to her collar, ripping her jacket open.

Selena tried to scream but couldn't, feeling completely helpless and desperate.

If she was going to be violated by this guy, she'd rather die.

Just when all hope seemed lost, she heard a car and the shouts of men.

Selena forced her eyes open and saw a black suit jacket draped over her, carrying a familiar cold pine scent.

Sweat dripped from her forehead as she heard the sound of heavy objects hitting the ground and the two men cursing.

But soon, the cursing turned into begging. Selena, too weak to lift her head, grabbed a stone and clutched it in her hand. The sharp pain brought her back to reality, and she finally saw who the newcomers were.

A look of surprise flashed in her eyes; she must have dialed the wrong number in her panic.

Raymond picked her up and carried her to the car.

The two men, now subdued, realized they had messed with the wrong person and cowered in fear, not daring to say a word.

Once in the car, Selena felt unbearably hot all over.

But after that humiliating incident at the hotel, she could only curl up in the corner, pressing against the car window, hoping the cold glass would cool her down.

But the cold barely registered.

The stone in her hand was small and sharp, already warm from her grip, cutting into her skin and drawing blood.

Raymond didn't want to deal with her, thinking he'd done enough by rescuing her. But hearing her faint whimpers, he stiffened.

Selena's hand hung limply, blood dripping onto the seat.

Raymond glanced at it, took a handkerchief, and pressed it into her palm, then took the phone John handed him.

The phone was Selena's, which had fallen to the ground and been picked up.

Raymond handed the phone to her and said, "Call your husband."

Selena, her mind foggy, didn't catch what he said and looked at him with dazed eyes.

Raymond grabbed her uninjured hand and handed her the phone.

"Call your husband. You need him right now." His tone was cold and steady.
