Chapter 274 I Will Marry into the Montague Family

After a half-hour drive, they finally pulled up to Manston Manor.

Selena hopped out first. Seeing Olivia and Sofia follow, she pointed inside.

"Miss Stone, after you."

Olivia, pleased with her attitude, didn't make a fuss and followed her in.

Manston Manor had a classic layout, surrounded by a garden. The whole villa had this exclusive garden, but the lawn was still barren and needed Selena's touch.

Selena led them to a pillar. The place was under construction, noisy, and dusty.

Olivia frowned, waving her hand in front of her face. Sofia covered her mouth, worried about the dust.

Selena pointed to the flattened pillar. "Here it is."

The sun was still out, casting a large patch of light. With the pillar gone, the area was well-lit. But the layout was already great and didn't need the extra sunlight.

Seeing the dust, Olivia didn't want to stick around. She couldn't think of a good idea right then, but she had to say something.

"Let's make this a pet playground. A nice spot for pets to sunbathe."

Selena raised an eyebrow. "Raymond's allergic to dog hair."

"I know, but I have cats. He's seen them and likes them. Since the sunlight here is so good, and you can't think of another use, why not design it for my cats?"

Selena didn't expect that. She pulled out her phone to ask Raymond.

Olivia's face turned cold. "Raymond told me to add some ideas. Are you calling him now?"

Selena kept dialing, saying calmly, "Do you own this house?"

Olivia's face stiffened, her gaze sharp. "What do you mean?"

"Sorry, I'm a designer working for the owner. If he criticizes me later, will you take responsibility? If not, it's reasonable for me to consult him now."

"I can take responsibility," Olivia said firmly, sneering. "In two months, I'll be married into the Montague family. Don't waste your effort now."

It was unclear if she meant calling Raymond or messing around with him.

Selena got the hint and put her phone away. "Alright, I'll design a pet playground here."

Olivia, satisfied, probed further. "Do you have a boyfriend? Isn't reputation important in your line of work? If you have any relationship with the owner, wouldn't the studio find out?"

If the previous words were a warning, this was a blatant threat.

Selena chuckled. "Don't worry. My reputation is solid, and I'm already married. Sofia should know about this, right?"

She didn't want more trouble. Olivia was tougher than Sofia and had a high status in the Stone family. Provoking them would be a headache. Better to clear Olivia's doubts.

Olivia was surprised and looked at Sofia, who hadn't told her.

Sofia's expression was uneasy. She hadn't mentioned it because she had her own motives against Selena, which she couldn't let Olivia know.

Selena smiled. "If you don't believe me, ask Caterlington. When he pursued me, I made it clear I have no plans to divorce for family reasons."

She used Caterlington as an excuse, since he was the only one who knew the truth.

Because of the Montague family's birthday party, many didn't know Raymond was married. But William wanted to give Selena a proper status, so he announced it. That's when people started finding out.

Selena hated trouble. She believed that even if someone asked Caterlington, with his love for drama, he'd keep her secret.

Just then, Olivia's phone rang. It was Raymond.

A smile flashed in Olivia's eyes, and she answered in front of Selena.

"Raymond."

"Have you seen it?"

Olivia couldn't help but speak sweetly, "I've seen it, and I've already given Selena some suggestions."

Raymond paused, his fingers twitching. If she had given suggestions, why didn't she call him?
