Chapter 286 Will They Divorce?
Olivia thought, 'Signed the contract? Are they really getting divorced?'
She hadn't brought it up yet, but Raymond mentioned it himself.
Olivia felt like she was on cloud nine, almost floating.
Her fingers couldn't stop trembling. If Raymond got divorced, wouldn't she be the top contender to marry into the Montague family?
"How long will the divorce take?"
Raymond stared ahead, his tone flat. "At most six months. Grandpa's health has been really bad lately."
Olivia's cheeks were flushed as she tried to calm herself by petting the cat.
But when the car stopped in front of the Stone family house, she couldn't help but turn to look at him.
"Alright, six months. Raymond, you're right, we haven't made up yet, but I'll show you that I'm the best fit to be your wife. I won't pressure you, and I don't want to meet that woman. Our breakup wasn't just because you married her. We've known each other for so long, and there were already issues between us. I'll figure them out and overcome them. If you ever decide to reconcile, let's get married okay?"
As she said the last sentence, her heart was pounding, and she felt super pleased with herself.
Raymond, however, just looked ahead with a detached expression.
"Let's talk about it after we reconcile."
"Raymond, I'm sorry. I was too stubborn back then. I shouldn't have stayed abroad to study painting and rejected your reconciliation request. From now on, I'll actively pursue you. I hope we can go back to the way we were."
After saying this, she got out of the car and stood outside the window, looking at him with tender eyes.
Raymond glanced at her and said softly, "Go inside, it's cold out."
Olivia felt even sweeter inside and walked into the house, looking back every few steps.
Raymond sat in the car, feeling uncomfortable all over.
He didn't stay there and reluctantly drove back to Ashbourne Manor.
It was closer to Ashbourne Manor than the hotel. After parking the car, he rolled up his sleeve to reveal a rash.
He was allergic to pet hair.
Just then, Fiona came out, having heard the car engine. She thought it was Selena returning, but was startled to see it was Raymond.
Seeing the rash on Raymond's arm, she immediately remembered what Catherine had said—he was allergic to dog hair!
Fiona didn't dare delay and quickly called the private doctor.
Fortunately, she had just had the servants thoroughly disinfect the entire house, or Raymond's allergy would have been even worse.
"Sir, please go inside and sit down."
Raymond's allergy to animal hair was quite severe, and now a visible rash had appeared all over his body.
He even started to develop a fever.
Fiona had called the Montague family's private doctor, who was well-acquainted with Raymond’s allergies. On the way over, the doctor informed Catherine, who quickly learned about Raymond's allergy at Ashbourne Manor.
Catherine immediately thought of the white dog at Ashbourne Manor and became furious, wondering why Selena hadn't sent the dog away yet. She drove straight to Ashbourne Manor in anger.
When she entered the living room, Raymond was already feverish. The doctor was giving him medication and advising him to avoid spicy food for the next three days. John arrived and helped Raymond up to the second floor.
Raymond, who had never been to a pet store, was experiencing a particularly severe allergy. As he reached the top of the stairs, he vaguely heard Catherine questioning Fiona.
"So the dog hasn't been sent away? Didn't I already remind Selena not to keep a dog here?"
Raymond frowned, but the discomfort in his body was overwhelming, and he didn't catch what they were saying.
He thought, "What dog? Is there a dog at Ashbourne Manor?"
