Chapter 1630 Didn't Expect Ms. White to Be So Young and Beautiful

In Silver Bay City, Ann stared at the computer screen in front of her, dark circles already forming under her eyes. Ronald pushed the door open and entered, his voice carrying a hint of fatigue.

"Why are there so many parties lately? You holding up okay?"

Ann raised her hand to rub her temples and managed a smile. "I'm hanging in there. It's been rough on you guys these past few days."

She had just recovered and returned to work yesterday.

Ronald had been managing the company for the past week.

"Ann, we might run into Paul at today's meeting. Several companies are collaborating on this awards ceremony, and the Adams family is one of the sponsors."

The awards ceremony for celebrities involved significant capital. The stars attending would essentially be walking advertisements, with everything they wore, including the brooches pinned to their chests, serving as ads.

The Adams family was showcasing their latest car model, set to be displayed at their brand's showroom next month. The stars would walk past this car on the red carpet, and the awards ceremony was funded entirely by the Adams family, making them the sole sponsor.

This year, S.M Corporation's artists had performed exceptionally well, with several key figures nominated for awards. As the person in charge, Ann had to attend and oversee things.

The Adams family was particularly interested in top-tier stars like Sophia and Betty. Their movements and poses as they passed the car were all meticulously planned.

Ann had already arranged a dinner with the brand representatives to discuss the red carpet collaboration in detail.

However, such occasions typically didn't require the presence of someone like Paul, the CEO, since the Adams family had numerous companies, and cars weren't their primary focus.

The Adams family's most renowned ventures were in scientific and electronic products, with their most secretive being weapon manufacturing, closely collaborating with top-tier entities. Below that were various electronic products, including cars and phones.

Rumor had it that this year, they developed Stellaria's only chip, disrupting the foreign monopoly on chips.

The Adams family had thrived this year, launching a new electric vehicle, which was the one set to be released.

Ann had thoroughly researched the situation and confirmed the dinner time with the other party, bringing Sophia along.

Betty was still filming out of town and would only return the day before the awards ceremony.

They were meeting Hugo Graves, the president of one of the Adams family's subsidiary companies. His eyes lit up the moment he saw Ann. "Wow, Ms. White, you're even younger and more beautiful than I expected."

Ann greeted him gracefully. "Mr. Graves, it's been a while."

She had prepared thoroughly, aiming not just for a brief photo op with the car but to secure a long-term endorsement deal for her company's artists.

It was rumored that a veteran Best Actor had previously negotiated for the endorsement but was politely declined. The car company wanted a young star who fit the futuristic, tech-savvy image and wouldn't cause any scandals.

This was the information Ann had, which was why she personally came to meet Hugo.

Hugo's gaze lingered on Ann's legs. He hadn't expected her to be so attractive. Tonight, she wore a black coat over a thin cashmere top, paired with a slightly vintage hat. Her green gemstone earrings were the highlight, making her face appear even smaller.

"Mr. Graves?" Ann frowned slightly, her fingers lightly gripping the coffee cup. "Did you understand what I just said?"

Hugo's smile widened. "I understand. You want not just a brief collaboration but a long-term partnership, right? That depends on your sincerity, Ms. White."

Ann maintained her smile. "A toast to you, Mr. Graves."

Hugo's expression darkened. He couldn't believe this woman didn't understand his implication.

He glanced at the younger Sophia and called for the waiter to bring the strongest bottle of liquor.

"Ms. White, to be honest, the decision on the spokesperson is entirely up to me. Whoever I choose will get the job. Your top-tier stars are indeed talented, but they're very young. With so many celebrities falling from grace these days, I can't afford to take risks. This is our company's first electric vehicle, and our competitors are also launching new cars this month to compete with us. If our spokesperson gets into trouble, we lose our competitive edge. You understand this better than I do, right?"

"Mr. Graves, rest assured, S.M Corporation strictly manages its artists. There won't be any issues."

"Ms. White, Ms. Turner, if you both drink this bottle, I'll finalize the spokesperson deal."

Ann's frown deepened. She had faced difficult collaborators before, but the alcohol content in this bottle was too high. One glass could knock someone out, and Hugo had brought an entire bottle.
