Chapter 55 What Are You Doing?

Selena squinted, realizing she had totally forgotten about the video.

Samantha noticed Selena's silence and thought she had finally scared her.

"Mr. Walsh asks about you a lot." Samantha sneered, wiping water off her cheek. "You're just a regular designer now. Think about it. If he knows where you are, would he come looking for you? He's kicking himself for not getting what he wanted. He's been obsessed with you."

Before Samantha could say more, Selena shot back, "It's just a video, right?"

Without giving Samantha a chance to reply, Selena shoved her into the stall.

At thirty-five, Samantha wasn't as fit as Selena and fell hard.

"Selena! What are you doing?" Samantha asked, fear creeping into her voice.

Selena didn't answer. She lifted the toilet lid, grabbed Samantha's head, and dunked it into the toilet.

Selena pulled out her phone and started recording.

The school's toilets weren't exactly clean, and Samantha's nostrils filled with a nasty stench.

Samantha felt sick, her face turning pale as she tried to hold onto the wall to throw up.

But Selena pushed her head back in again.

After recording a fifteen-second clip, Selena let go and mocked, "Professor Stone better keep that video safe, or this clip of you drinking toilet water will be all over Silver Bay University's website. Everyone will know about your little hobby."

Samantha couldn't respond, retching on the side, her stomach churning.

When Selena was falsely accused of plagiarism, she tried everything to clear her name, but no one believed her.

Samantha had stepped up then, saying she believed Selena and would take her to explain to the organizers.

Selena trusted Samantha, but the so-called organizers were actually Kross from T. Rowe Group.

Kross had been after Selena for a while, and when Samantha brought her over, he dropped his nice-guy act.

And the trusted Samantha recorded the whole thing.

Selena was so desperate then that she didn't even care about the plagiarism accusation anymore. She graduated online, left Silver Bay University in disgrace, and got a bad rep.

Samantha kept vomiting, her face losing all color.

Selena walked out of the stall, washed her hands at the sink, checked her makeup, and, after making sure it was perfect, opened the bathroom door.

Someone outside was about to knock.

Mia looked at Selena, surprise in her eyes. "Penny?"

The sound of Samantha retching still came from the stall, and Mia looked inside curiously. "Why are you at my school? What's going on in there?"

Selena didn't even blink as she smiled, "I met an employer who invited me to today's art exhibition. As for what's going on inside, I don't know. I didn't lock the door."

Mia stayed cheerful, smiling brightly at Selena. "The painting you helped me revise last time won first place in the school! It's going to a competition. Do you want to wait for me? I'll touch up my lipstick and then treat you to dinner!"

"Maybe next time. My employer is still waiting," Selena said.

Mia looked a bit disappointed. "Alright then, can I call you later?"

Selena returned to the hall just as Henry finished talking with a business partner and walked over, noticing Samantha was missing. "Where's Samantha?" he asked curiously.

"She said she needed to use the restroom. She probably ran into someone and started chatting," Selena said.

Henry didn't push further and instead remarked, "She's quite a career-driven woman, and her reputation among the students is good. I see you two are close. Did she help you before?"

Selena smiled; no one would have guessed she had just slapped Samantha.

"She did help me a lot. So now that I've graduated, I always think about how to repay her and the school. Unfortunately, among the graduates of that year, my situation is probably the worst, so I can't really give back to the school," Selena replied.

"You're being too modest. Everyone in the design world knows who you are. You're famous now." Henry smiled.

Selena was about to respond when someone suddenly bumped into her shoulder. She frowned and looked at the person who had bumped into her.

It was a young girl, about the same age as Mia, probably a student at this school.

The girl glanced back at her without apologizing and quickly walked away.

Selena noticed she was heading towards the restroom and frowned slightly.
