Chapter 141 A Thirty-Second Kiss

As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone’s eyes got this knowing look.

If Selena was the chick who spent the night with Raymond, she'd totally pick him now.

After all, they already did the deed, so a kiss? No biggie.

Alex was thinking the same thing. They hooked up, so was Selena really gonna kiss some random dude now?

Selena didn’t seem like that kind of girl.

She looked down, hesitated a bit, and knew she couldn’t pick Raymond.

Raymond had just answered two questions back-to-back, and everyone thought she was the one who slept with him. If she made a move now, it’d be even harder to explain.

Selena’s eyes darted around the room and finally landed on Caterlington.

Caterlington had been with plenty of women and wouldn’t mind a 30-second kiss.

Plus, Caterlington knew about her and Raymond, so it’d be easier to clear things up later without any drama.

“Ms. Cooper, made up your mind? Who’s it gonna be?” Alex asked, looking all amused, a smile playing on his lips.

Selena nodded and started to get up from the sofa.

Alex’s face showed a flicker of surprise, and he shut his mouth.

If Selena had picked Raymond, she wouldn’t need to get up at all.

It was clear she hadn’t chosen Raymond.

The other women in the room all let out a sigh of relief, showing there was no funny business between the two.

Raymond’s face darkened as he saw her almost fully standing.

Emily, sitting on the other side of Selena, caught on to her plan and angrily shoved her hard.

“What are you doing? Caterlington doesn’t even like you. Don’t go kissing people randomly!” Emily snapped.

Emily had a thing for Caterlington for a long time. Seeing Selena about to kiss him, she couldn’t hold back and pushed Selena with all her might.

Selena, who was halfway up, got pushed right into Raymond.

Their lips met just like that.

One was cold, the other soft, both with a hint of alcohol.

Selena’s eyes widened in anger, wanting to punch Emily.

But now that they’d kissed, going to Caterlington would look super guilty.

Worried Raymond might push her away and embarrass her, Selena grabbed the front of his shirt.

In front of a dozen pairs of eyes, Selena boldly slipped her tongue in.

A passionate kiss wasn’t just lips touching lips. Playing innocent now was pointless.

Raymond stayed silent. Feeling Selena’s move, he frowned a bit.

Raymond instinctively wanted to push Selena away; he wasn’t into this kind of intimacy and thought French kissing was kinda gross.

But Selena’s awkward technique was kinda endearing, like a puppy trying to please, charging in recklessly.

His move to push her away paused, and he looked down at her face, so close to his.

Selena didn’t look as calm as usual. Her trembling eyelashes showed her nerves, and her hand gripping his shirt brought back memories of that night.

But she was definitely more seductive that night.

Raymond’s breath quickened for a moment, and Alex’s voice cut in. “Thirty seconds are up. That’s enough.”

As soon as he said that, Selena quickly pulled away, wiped her lips, and said calmly, “Mr. Montague, sorry for the offense.”

Raymond’s half-raised hand slowly lowered, his wrist tense.
