Chapter 288 Stay Away from Raymond

Originally, she had this grand plan to introduce him to the high society folks in Silver Bay City. But even though Raymond was super allergic to dog hair, he still went with Olivia to the pet hospital. Guess he just couldn't shake off their childhood connection.

But how did Selena know Raymond went to the pet hospital with Olivia? Was she stalking him or something?

Catherine frowned and shot a text to Selena.

[I know what you're up to. Stay away from Raymond. You two will split up soon. Even if you throw yourself at him, he won't want you.]

Ouch, that was harsh.

Selena's face darkened when she read the message.

[Don't worry. I'll stay far away from him.]

Catherine smirked. It better be that way, or she wouldn't be so nice to the Fair family!

An hour later, Max's anesthesia wore off, and the doctor reminded Selena.

"This is for the wound. Apply it three times a day. The weather's getting warmer, so watch out for infections."

Selena frowned. Besides dealing with James' stuff, she had to handle things at Manston Manor. Plus, she was waiting for the police to wrap up their investigation on Paddy, so she had no time for Max.

With Raymond at Ashbourne Manor, sending Max back there was a no-go.

"If you don't have time for the meds, you can leave Max here. The hospital fee will be higher, but we have staff to take care of him daily."

Selena sighed in relief and paid the fee right away.

Before leaving, she went to see Max.

Max recognized her and tried to get up.

Selena patted his head. Max was clingy, probably because he hadn't seen her in a while and got bored enough to swallow a stone. She figured she should tell Fiona to get rid of the pebbles in the garden. Otherwise, this would be a hassle for everyone.

It was already past midnight, and Selena was exhausted, so she drove to Rose Garden.

There was still trash at her door, deliberately thrown by the woman tangled up with Jacob, and it stank.

Selena forced herself to open the door, shutting out everything outside.

Across the hall, Lillian hadn't slept. Hearing the noise, she knew Selena was back.

She sneered and texted the woman who caused trouble last time.

When that woman came to cause trouble before, Lillian felt she had found an ally. Seeing how aggressive and unreasonable the woman was, even the property management couldn't handle her. With someone like that around, Selena would have a tough time!

The woman's name was Lauren Thomas, and she had been looking for Jacob. But Jacob had vanished, and no one knew where he went.

Lauren had finally snagged this gigolo, but before she could make a move, he was taken away.

She hated Selena's guts. Besides having people throw trash at Selena's door every day, she had no other way.

After getting Lillian's message, Lauren immediately ran to the building and started banging on Selena's door.

"Come out! Where did you hide Jacob?"

"Come out, bitch! I know you're back!"

Selena had just finished her bath and lay down when she heard the noise outside.

She frowned, knowing it was Lillian who had tipped her off. Otherwise, how could Lauren show up so fast?

Thinking about the last time she went to the police station with Lauren, who was so unreasonable even the cops were afraid of her, Selena realized calling them again would be pointless.

Lauren's banging and shouting had disturbed the residents, but she stood with her hands on her hips, cursing back.

Soon, everyone in the building thought Selena had stolen Lauren's man.

Selena wondered if contacting Lauren's husband would help. She didn't need to check where Lauren lived; Lauren had already spilled the beans.

That night, Selena put on her headphones and managed to sleep well.

The next morning, after confirming no one was outside, she opened the door.

There was still trash at the door. As she opened the door, Lillian was also about to leave.

Lillian saw her and the trash at the door and rolled her eyes.

"Look at the mess you've caused. The trash in the hallway is affecting me too. Seriously, can't you stop seducing so many men?"
