Chapter 355 Raymond is Actually Quite Petty

This road was the go-to spot for young folks to race at night, full of tight, sharp turns.

Selena had just brought up this stretch of road, mentioning how Nick used to love racing here.

Basically, she was saying if anything went wrong, it was on him.

The driver got the hint right away and started drifting through a bunch of turns.

Nick's eyes turned red as he sped up. Seeing the area getting more and more remote, he was sorely tempted to guffaw like a maniac.

Nick thought, 'How thick of Selena! Now that we're so far from the city, once she's forced to stop, it's the perfect time to make my move. Bitch. Just wait for your end!'

As the car hit a sharp turn, he yanked the steering wheel hard.

But the car went into a crazy skid, followed by a violent crash.

Nick's eyes widened in shock.

Before the car plunged off the cliff, he managed to jump out, but his legs got brutally broken.

The intense pain knocked him out cold.

The driver in front noticed the car wasn't following anymore and knew something had gone down.

He turned around, took another route back, and called Selena.

"Miss Fair, it's done."

Selena sat in the car, hearing this, her lips tightened a bit, and her throat felt dry.

"Okay, got it."

This was Selena's first time setting someone up.

Nick's revenge had gotten so intense it was messing up her life.

She couldn't afford to be weak.

Besides, she had given him a chance.

He was the one blinded by hatred.

As the two cars neared Ashbourne Manor, Selena, worried Raymond might be there, switched back to her own car and decided to head to Rose Garden instead.

It was already nine at night. She noticed a missed call from Raymond but had been too focused on Nick to see it. When she called back, he hung up right away.

Staring at the hung-up number, she thought Raymond was being pretty petty.

Raymond was at Ashbourne Manor at that moment. When he came back tonight, Fiona was a bit surprised.

She thought it was already unusual for him to call back to check on a dog. Moreover, he actually came back so early tonight and immediately grab Max's leash, looking like he was going to find the so-called owner.

Fiona watched as he made a call, which apparently wasn't answered.

His face visibly darkened, and he threw the leash aside.

Fiona didn't know what had happened and cautiously asked, "Aren't you going to return the dog?"

"No." Raymond's tone was heavy as he stomped upstairs. "The owner probably isn't in a hurry."

Fiona thought Selena definitely wasn't in a hurry. After all, she knew Max was at Ashbourne Manor.

Selena, whose call had been hung up, was hesitating whether to call again.

But she really couldn't figure out Raymond's temper, so she called Fiona instead. "Fiona, Raymond hasn't been skimping on Max's food, has he?"

Would he, out of anger at her, deliberately not feed Max?

Max was mischievous and picky, spoiled by her since he was little, and couldn't stand such grievances.

"Don't worry. Tonight, he even had us feed Max imported beef."

Selena was speechless. Although she hadn't mistreated Max, she had never fed him beef that cost hundreds of dollars per pound.

Thankfully, Max wasn't mistreated.

With the matter of Nick settled, she could finally get a good night's sleep.

As for Max, with imported beef and Raymond now accepting his presence, he was living well at Ashbourne Manor. What was there to worry about?

Raymond was dealing with company documents at that moment, and his phone hadn't rung until midnight.

His face grew darker and darker, with a mounting urge to sell Max.
