Chapter 327 Apologize
Selena wasn't one to just sit around, so she called up Shelley first, asking her to use the Harper family's clout to dig into those two men who attempted to assault her.
Shelley was fuming. "How could this even happen! I'll get someone on it right now. Selena, just chill and rest up in the hospital!"
After hanging up, Selena saw Sofia push open her door.
Sofia glared at her, sneering. "Raymond's on his way. You better think about how you're gonna apologize to Olivia."
Selena found it funny. "You must have a poor memory. Have you forgotten why you're in the hospital?"
Sofia's face tightened with anger, but she couldn't do anything before Raymond showed up.
With a huff, Sofia slammed the door and went to the next room.
Selena rubbed her temples. She had lashed out at Olivia because she suddenly thought about those two men and couldn't hold back. She didn't expect Olivia's condition to actually get worse.
When she came in, Selena had already asked the doctor. Olivia not only had a stomach issue but also a broken rib.
Selena looked at her right leg, puzzled. Did she really hit that hard?
The doctor explained, "Ribs are pretty fragile. Just last week, a wife broke three of her husband's ribs during a playful fight. It's not a serious injury, but it's not minor, either."
Selena was speechless for a moment. After the doctor left, she closed her eyes to rest. Soon, she heard heavy footsteps outside. It wasn't a nurse; it had to be Raymond.
Raymond arrived at Olivia's room. When Olivia saw him, her eyes immediately welled up.
"Raymond," Olivia called out pitifully, but inside she was pleased.
Thanks to Selena losing her temper and hitting her, her stomach issue flared up, and she had a broken rib. As long as Raymond knew about her injuries, he'd see how malicious Selena was this time.
Raymond didn't sit down but scanned her from head to toe, making sure there were no other issues before asking, "What happened?"
Olivia didn't answer but gave Sofia a look.
Sofia quickly jumped in. "Raymond, it's all that Penny's fault. She insulted me first; Olivia just wanted her to apologize. But she went straight to violence, breaking Olivia's rib and causing her stomach issue to flare up. The doctor suggested hospitalization."
Raymond didn't doubt it for a second because Selena did have a strong personality publicly. Last time in the elevator, Selena seemed to have also acted against Sofia. But Selena shouldn't have targeted Olivia, and with such force.
Raymond's face darkened. "Where is Penny?"
Sofia said, "She's in the next room, pretending to be all weak. Raymond, you have to get justice for Olivia."
Raymond's brow furrowed slightly. Why was she also hospitalized?
He stood up and instructed Sofia, "Take good care of Olivia."
Sofia swelled up with pride. After he left, she happily looked at Olivia. "Olivia, don't worry. Raymond will definitely get justice for you this time. Penny won't be smug for long."
Olivia thought the same. After all, she was seriously injured this time. Although Penny was also hospitalized, her injuries weren't caused by Olivia.
Raymond, dressed in a suit, arrived at the next room. He didn't go in immediately but politely knocked on the door.
Selena, sitting on the hospital bed, instinctively touched her neck. "Come in."
Raymond walked in. When he saw her pale face, he paused for a moment. His tone softened instinctively. "What happened to you?"
Raymond strode to the bedside, seeing the bandage around her neck, his eyes deepened. It couldn't have been from last night.
Raymond's Adam's apple bobbed as he slowly sat down on a chair.
With his arrival, Selena felt the room brighten. Raymond was always the center of attention wherever he went.
"Mr. Montague," Selena called out, only to hear him ask, "Did you cause Olivia's injury?"
Selena answered truthfully, "Yes."
Raymond said matter-of-factly, "Apologize to her."
