Chapter 1631 He Disdained It
Sophia was about to stand up in anger, but Ann pressed down on her leg.
Ann smiled at Hugo. "Mr. Graves, you're pretty direct. Let's do it this way. I'll have my team draft the contract."
"As long as you can drink it, I'll sign right away."
Ann casually poured herself a glass, but Sophia stopped her.
Sophia leaned in close to her ear. "Ann, this guy's up to no good. We should get out of here."
Ann chuckled inwardly. Sophia had been well-protected in this industry, especially after signing with S.M Corporation. She had hardly faced any difficulties.
She was still too young, but that was okay.
"It's fine. You don't drink, I'll drink."
"That's not right."
Sophia grabbed the glass and downed the entire drink.
She could handle her alcohol, but this drink was too strong. As she swallowed, she felt her insides burning.
She drank another glass and collapsed in her seat within a minute.
Ann sighed, rubbing her temples, and poured herself three glasses.
She drank them all in one go, then stood up to support Sophia. "Mr. Graves, the drinks are done. I'll have my company discuss the endorsement with you tomorrow."
Hugo squinted his eyes and immediately stood up. "Ms. White, you're straightforward. But you both seem drunk. Why not stay next door tonight? There's a hotel right there."
Ann was still conscious but felt dizzy. Sophia was a top-tier celebrity now and couldn't be seen drunk in public.
"No need, we have a driver waiting outside."
"Ms. White..."
Hugo had already drunk, and he wasn't about to let her leave. He grabbed Ann and held her close.
"I'll have someone take Ms. Turner home. Ms. White, you should stay tonight."
Ann's heart raced. She hadn't expected Hugo to be so bold!
She tried to push him away, but Hugo was determined. He pinned her against the door.
"Get off!"
Ann was anxious, watching Hugo's bodyguards take Sophia away.
She reached for a nearby vase, intending to smash it over Hugo's head.
Hugo hadn't drunk a drop and was very clear-headed. He grabbed her hand and sniffed it. "Ms. White, I like your temper."
Ann felt nauseous. "Get off!"
Hugo, kicked in the groin, was furious. He grabbed the tablecloth and swept everything onto the floor. Then he placed Ann on the table.
"I'm going to have you right here tonight. Stop pretending. You think I haven't heard the rumors? Everyone knows you tried to seduce Paul, but he rejected you. Your mom can't live without a man, and I bet you need one too, dressed like this!"
Ann couldn't believe the regional president would say such things.
Her coat buttons were torn off. She kicked Hugo hard in his vulnerable spot, grabbed a broken bottle from the floor, and stabbed him in the stomach.
Hugo dodged in time but still got a cut. "Damn it! Bitch!"
He tried to chase her but couldn't straighten up due to the pain.
Ann, pale with fear, ran out of the private room and down the hallway.
She had chosen a high-end restaurant tonight, with a quiet environment and dim lighting.
The other end of the hallway led to the restroom. She ran into the men's room in a panic. To confuse Hugo, she left one of her high heels by the elevator.
She locked the men's room door and leaned against it, gasping for breath. The alcohol hit her hard, and she felt like vomiting.
Paul had just lit a cigarette when he heard a noise from the restroom. He ignored it, holding the cigarette between his fingers and slowly exhaling smoke.
The restroom was spacious. He heard a phone ringing and thought it was his own. But it wasn't.
The phone kept ringing, but its owner didn't answer.
Feeling annoyed, he tossed the cigarette aside and walked to the mirror, only to see a woman standing there.
With half the lights off, he couldn't see her face clearly, but her phone kept ringing in her pocket. She was frantically washing her face with cold water.
Paul glanced at the sign on the wall. It was definitely the men's room. Just as he was about to speak, Hugo's curses came from outside. "You bitch, you think hiding here will..."
The door opened, and Hugo saw Paul standing there, nearly scared out of his wits. "Mr... Mr. Adams."
