Chapter 345 So Cruel at Such a Young Age
Selena actually got a decent night's sleep for once. But, of course, her morning was already packed with stuff to do.
She frowned as she drove straight to the hospital.
Victoria and Arthur were still on the floor, causing a scene and yelling, "Murder! Murder!"
Selena hurried over. "Had enough yet?"
Victoria paused when she saw her, then sneered. "Listen to you. I'm your grandmother. No respect for your elders, no manners at all."
Selena took a deep breath and noticed a handprint on one of the bodyguard's cheeks.
"Miss Fair." The two bodyguards, who knew Selena thanks to Shelley, greeted her politely.
Selena was fed up and told them, "If they keep this up, toss them out the window. I'll handle any compensation."
The bodyguards were already sick of Victoria and Arthur. Despite their age, the two were ruthless, scratching the bodyguards with their nails.
Hearing this, Victoria quickly got up from the ground. "What did you say? Are you trying to kill us? Everyone, look! This is my granddaughter, and now she wants to throw me and her grandfather out the window. How can she be so cruel? Just like her mother!"
Selena didn't want to engage, but hearing her mention Barbara made her face darken. "Throw her out now. If she doesn't die the first time, do it again. The Fair family has money; we can afford the compensation."
The bodyguards exchanged glances and carried Victoria to the window.
Victoria had thought Selena was bluffing, but she didn't expect her to actually go through with it.
She was already at the window, seeing the view below.
Arthur, still making a scene on the ground, turned pale when he saw this! "Stop! Stop! Selena, what are you doing? Don't you know this is a law-abiding society?"
He was so scared he stood up and tried to pull the bodyguards away, but Selena's cold voice stopped him. "Throw him out too. Every time they cause trouble, throw them out."
Arthur froze, seeing the bodyguards about to throw Victoria.
Victoria, being held up, was trembling all over, almost fainting.
Arthur suddenly shouted, "We won't make trouble anymore! Stop, put her down. You're trying to kill us. So young and already so cruel."
The bodyguards looked at Selena, who didn't agree.
Selena bawled, "Continue."
Arthur, scared to the point of rolling his eyes, trembled and shouted, "Alright! We'll leave! We won't make trouble anymore!"
Seeing he was genuinely scared, Selena raised an eyebrow. If he fainted, it would cause more trouble, so she nodded to the bodyguards.
Victoria was put down, equally scared and speechless.
Arthur kept cursing, "Bastard, you'll get your karma!"
Selena, looking impatient, saw the crowd gathering and spoke up, "Leave within three minutes. If you come here again, I guarantee you'll end up staying here."
Reasoning with such scoundrels was useless; only a fear tactic worked.
Arthur shivered and helped the trembling Victoria into the elevator.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, Victoria collapsed backward.
Arthur quickly supported her. "Hold on. We'll go back and talk to Steven. Selena is a real bastard, heartless!"
Victoria, still rolling her eyes, was too scared to speak coherently.
Selena sat in the hospital corridor, briefly explaining to the surrounding people, then looked at the two bodyguards.
She said apologetically, "Sorry."
The bodyguards waved it off, not minding.
Selena then asked the doctor about James's condition and, knowing everything was stable, felt relieved.
Victoria and Arthur returned home to find Steven anxiously waiting inside.
Seeing them return, Steven's eyes lit up with excitement. "How did it go?"
Arthur waved his hand, still shaken. "Don't ask. Get your mom a glass of water first."
