Chapter 383 Do You Have a Woman Waiting for You?
The woman looked her up and down and praised. "You can pull off any style. Don't be shy. Why don't you buy both? Do you need any accessories?"
She took out two sets of clothes.
Selena didn't dare to look at what kind of clothes they were. She quickly stuffed one set into her bag, paid, and trotted out with her head down.
When she got back to the car, her heart was racing. She threw the bag onto the passenger seat and took a deep breath.
After driving back to the hotel, she used the room card to enter.
There was still an hour until 8 PM, so she decided to take a bath first.
She soaked in the bath, washing away her fatigue.
She got up, dried off, and opened the package with the white outfit.
When she saw what it was, her hands shook, and she almost dropped it.
A wave of heat rushed through her, making her feel like she was melting.
It took her half an hour to mentally prepare before putting it on.
The outfit, meant to add a bit of sensuality, really did show off her figure, making her waist look slimmer and her legs longer.
She didn't dare to look at herself in the mirror for too long as it was much more revealing than her daily ones.
She put on a coat before heading out.
As it got closer to 8 PM, she became increasingly nervous.
Meanwhile, Raymond had been called back to the Montague Villa by a sudden phone call from William.
He was sitting on the sofa drinking tea, reporting the recent activities of the Montague Group to William, when he heard William ask. "How are things going with Selena? When will she get pregnant?"
Raymond only then remembered Selena. If William hadn't mentioned her, he would have forgotten.
She had been sensible lately, not coming around to bother him. "Not bad."
William looked at him suspiciously and asked, "How is Selena's father's illness? Have you asked the hospital? What exactly is the illness? If you have time, you should visit the Fair family."
Raymond didn't keep up with the Fair family news and didn't even know James was still in the hospital. "Grandpa, didn't she tell you we're working on it?"
William said threateningly, "Selena likes to speak well of you, but you're disobedient and even caused a scandal. If I find out you're fooling around outside again, I'll break your legs. Cut off all contact with Olivia, or else..."
Raymond calmly took a sip of tea, glancing at the clock on the wall. It was already 7:40.
Then Raymond cut him off, "I will cut off contact."
William nodded in satisfaction. "You haven't had any other women around all these years. If you get along well with Selena, you'll come to love her."
Raymond's mind flashed to Selena's face, thinking that the one William should be wary of wasn't Olivia.
But then he remembered why Selena had compromised, and a trace of irritation appeared on his face.
"What, are you still unhappy?" William thought he was upset about being told to cut off contact with Olivia and his face turned cold.
"No, Grandpa, I have something to do tonight." Raymond stood up and grabbed his coat.
But William took out a chessboard. "I already asked John. He said all your meetings are done for the day and you have no plans tonight. Play a game of chess with me."
Raymond hadn't told John about his plans with Selena, so John had said he was free tonight.
A game of chess, at their usual pace, would take at least half an hour.
"Grandpa, I."
William slammed the table, his eyes sharp. "In such a hurry, do you have a woman waiting for you?"
With that, Raymond lowered his eyes and put his suit jacket aside.
"No."
