Chapter 151 Burning Jealousy
James was already in the car. Alice and Nick shared a look and hopped in too.
Alice snagged the window seat and spotted a fancy car parked nearby. Her heart skipped a beat—it was Raymond's ride!
"Hold up, don't start the car yet. I gotta see someone!" Alice's voice was buzzing with excitement. She never thought she'd bump into Raymond here. Before anyone could say a word, she was out the door and heading towards his car.
The windows were up, so she couldn't see inside.
But Alice had been keeping tabs on Raymond for ages and knew every car he drove.
This was definitely his; he was at the hospital.
Alice quickly fixed her makeup, her voice urgent. "Mr. Montague, what brings you to the hospital?"
She knocked on the window, trying to be as polite as possible.
Little did she know, Selena was sitting on the side she knocked on.
Selena was caught off guard, wondering why Alice was looking for Raymond.
Raymond didn't know the Fair family well and had never visited them. He vanished for three years after their wedding.
There was no way he had any ties to Alice.
And yet, Alice clearly recognized his car and came over.
Selena felt a twinge of suspicion. As the window rolled down, her heart raced. If Alice saw her and called out, her cover would be blown.
So, as soon as the window lowered, she turned and hugged Raymond, hiding her face in his chest.
Alice saw Raymond holding a beautiful woman.
Surprise flickered in her eyes, quickly replaced by burning jealousy.
She almost ground her teeth to dust but kept her cool. "Mr. Montague, are you feeling okay?"
In front of Raymond, Alice was always humble, her eyes filled with deep admiration.
Raymond didn't care much about Alice. He responded coolly and tried to push Selena, who had suddenly clung to him, away.
But Selena wrapped her arms around his waist, looking all dependent.
His hand froze, and Raymond glanced down at Selena, deciding not to push her away.
Selena was his wife in name, so it was fine for her to see this. Maybe it would finally crush her hopes.
He wasn't dumb; her admiration was obvious.
This only made Raymond think she had ulterior motives for marrying into the Montague family, his brows furrowing slightly.
"What's up?" Raymond's voice was icy, like frost on a snowy mountain.
Alice felt a pang of discomfort. She had watched him from afar for so long but had to admit she had no right to be jealous.
Alice didn't recognize the woman in his arms as Selena. To her, even if Raymond and Selena had a thing, he only saw Selena as a toy.
Plus, Selena didn't have feelings for Raymond.
Alice had heard from James that Selena had a college boyfriend, but they broke up.
With Selena's personality, if she truly liked someone, she wouldn't forget them in a few years.
If other women could cozy up to Raymond, why couldn't she?
Alice felt a bit better, shooting a fierce glare at the woman.
She said, "Nothing, just checking on you. Take care of yourself."
If Selena still didn't get Alice's true intentions, she'd be pretty clueless.
