Chapter 301 Didn't Expect Him to Remember

Nick's mouth tasted like blood. Thinking about Selena's face and body, he felt a rush of heat, but his body wasn't cooperating. I

In a frustration, Nick yelled and knocked everything off the table.

He was at the Fair family villa. Alice heard the noise and walked in. "Nick, are you alright?"

Nick sneered, his eyes cold. "I need to have Selena. I'll do whatever it takes to humiliate her until she's broken. Only then will I feel better."

Alice's eyes lit up. Nick wanted Selena, and she wanted Raymond. They could definitely work together.

"Nick, you could start by creating a misunderstanding for Selena. I had you get the Stone family bodyguard to mess with her so she'd think Olivia was behind it. When she gets hurt and confronts Raymond, he won't help her. He might even think Olivia's the victim and divorce Selena in a fit of anger." Alice picked up the things on the floor and dusted them off as she spoke, "Once she's divorced, and with James in the hospital, no one will help her even if you go after her openly."

Alice had her own reasons for this plan; she wanted Raymond to divorce Selena fast.

Even if it helped Olivia for now, it didn't matter. Alice would first take down Selena, then deal with Olivia.

Alice would never forget how Olivia had humiliated her last time.

For now, she'd let Olivia and Selena clash. No matter who lost, it would benefit her.

Nick didn't say anything, just stood there coldly. Then, he burst out laughing. "Alice, you're getting smarter."

Alice said, "Nick, I'm doing this for us."

Selena finished revising Mia's drawing and saw Mia on the phone nearby.

She noticed Mia's driver had already left.

Mia walked over, sounding cheerful. "Penny, do you have plans for tonight or tomorrow morning?"

Selena thought for a moment and shook her head in spite of herself. She didn't have any immediate plans. Her dad was still unconscious, and things at Manston Manor were going smoothly. She just needed to pick up Max tomorrow afternoon.

"Great!" Mia said, happily linking arms with Selena.

"I gotta treat you to a big meal today!" Mia said, packing up the drawing board and pulling Selena towards the street. "I promise you've never had anything like it!"

Selena was about to decline when she saw a familiar limo pull up—it was Raymond's. She swallowed hard.

Mia quickly opened the car door and pushed her inside. "Raymond, I brought Selena along. You don't mind, do you? She just helped me with my drawing, and I want to treat her to something nice."

Selena was already inside. If she got out now, it would be too rude.

Raymond was sitting right across from her, their knees almost touching.

Selena tried to move away, but the car wasn't that big, and her movement only made their knees brush against each other.

Mia didn't notice the tension and closed the car door. "Selena, I just told you Raymond was busy, but then I found out Emily is hosting a party at the hillside hot spring resort. She always invites international chefs to cook on-site. Emily might not be a woman of a good personality, but she's loaded and generous. The lobsters there are flown in fresh. Don't worry; the party's organized by her brother Paul. Raymond's going too, so we can all go together. The stars on the mountain are beautiful tonight. We can stay overnight and come back tomorrow. I can keep sketching, and you can help me revise my work, okay?"

Selena felt a headache coming on, regretting that she had answered Mia too quickly when she asked if she was free.

Plus, the warm touch of Raymond's knees made her feel suffocated, like she was being squeezed from both sides.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Raymond close his file, his long fingers covering the document.

Raymond spoke softly, "Is that neighbor who loves to renovate still at Rose Garden?"

No matter the time or place, Raymond always managed to be captivating.

From an artist's perspective, Selena really liked his face.

Selena was confused. She couldn't immediately recall any renovating neighbor.

Raymond chuckled, easing the awkward atmosphere between them. "Didn't you say there was a neighbor renovating and it was very noisy?"

Selena then remembered that when Lauren came to cause trouble before, she had casually complained to Raymond about it.

She didn't expect Raymond to remember.
