"Ms. Montague, how are you?" Grace's head was bleeding, and she was a bit out of it. The driver in the front seat had even passed out.
Since they were the ones hit, their situation was worse than Selena's.

Since Selena was fully responsible, they took both people in the car to the police station.
Selena felt she had been quite unlucky lately, frequently shuttling between the police station and the hospital.
With Jane, who was scared stiff, beside her, her mood plummeted.
Jane babbled on, "You can't blame me this time, Selena. You're the driver. Even if they want compensation, they'll come to you. It has nothing to do with me. I'm just a passenger. The other side seems to be someone important. You'll just have to accept your bad luck this time."

Since Carter was her boyfriend, he should totally be there for her.
