Chapter 309 Could it be that she went to Raymond's room?
Selena noticed Mia staring at her neck and felt a bit puzzled.
"What's up?" Selena asked.
Mia quickly looked away, stammering, "N-nothing, h-how are you feeling?"
Selena, still a bit confused, smiled. "A little under the weather, but it's nothing serious."
Mia's face turned even redder. "That's good."
Selena closed the door and changed into her new clothes. When she came out, Mia was still hanging around nearby.
They walked down the hallway together and saw a woman wrapped up in clothes, held by a bodyguard, with a crowd around them.
The woman's legs were shaking; she looked like she'd been through hell the night before.
People were whispering all around them.
"Didn't think she'd pull something like this."
"Isn't she that designer, Penny? She was hitting on everyone, even the bodyguards. I heard it happened in Olivia's room, which really ticked Olivia off. Too bad Raymond's still in a meeting and hasn't seen this mess yet."
The woman had her head covered by the bodyguard's clothes, trembling, while Olivia frowned at the gossip.
Last night, Olivia had Sofia bribe a waiter to spike Penny's drink. Penny drank it, so Olivia had Sofia follow her, planning to catch Penny in the act. But Sofia never came back, and Olivia ended up crashing with some socialites.
This morning, Olivia stood outside her room and heard a man and a woman inside. It sounded like they'd been partying all night.
She played dumb, and soon everyone on the third floor was outside her room.
Inside, Sofia was freaking out. She'd only meant to follow Penny but got grabbed by a drugged-up bodyguard. The guy was out of his mind and wouldn't listen to reason.
Hearing the gossip outside, Sofia was terrified. If she got caught in bed, especially in front of all these Silver Bay City folks, her reputation would be toast.
Face pale as chalk, Sofia heard Olivia's voice outside. "Penny, is that you? You didn't look so good last night. Are you okay?"
Then the crowd started talking about Penny.
They all knew the designer had been at the pool last night but thought she'd left. They didn't expect her to be messing around with a bodyguard here.
"Shameless, she's a famous designer. Raymond probably won't let her design his house now."
"So many rich guys around, and she picks a bodyguard. But I guess it suits her."
"Look at her, who else would want her?"
The crowd laughed.
Inside, Sofia had an idea. She scolded the now-sober bodyguard, wrapped her head in clothes, and planned to rush out later. Since Penny had already left, everyone would think she was Penny. The one fooling around with the bodyguard would be that bitch Penny.
Feeling relieved, Sofia told the bodyguard, "Later, just call me Penny. Whether you know her or not, just do it. Otherwise, I'll call the cops and you'll rot in jail!"
Scared out of his wits, the bodyguard vauguely remembered he had only had a glass of Delilah's wine last night.
He nodded frantically in agreement.
He used his clothes to shield her face.
When the door opened, everyone was watching the drama unfold.
Olivia found it hilarious. "Penny, if you want to hook up with a bodyguard, don't use my room. Good thing I didn't come back last night."
People immediately started speculating why Olivia hadn't returned to her room. Did she go to Raymond's room?
