Chapter 295 Raymond Brought a Woman Home

Olivia shot a look at Fiona, her eyebrows knitting together.

"Why have we been sitting here forever without a drop of water? Did Ashbourne Manor run dry tonight?"

She was clearly calling Fiona out for slacking off.

Fiona glanced over at Raymond. He was looking a bit pale from a recurring fever, but it didn't take away from his noble vibe. Olivia was practically glued to his side.

Fiona was fuming but couldn't do much about it.

She headed to the kitchen, poured some water, and quickly texted Selena: [Get back here ASAP. Raymond brought a woman home, and they seem super close.]

Selena was already back at Rose Garden and really didn't want to deal with Ashbourne Manor's drama.

Fiona brought the water to the coffee table.

Olivia glanced upstairs, a sly smile playing on her lips.

"Raymond, is your wife not home?"

Raymond had no clue where his wife was, so he looked at Fiona.

Fiona quickly said, "She's still out."

Olivia pretended to be shocked and covered her mouth. "When I talked to Catherine, she mentioned she often stays out late. Now that she's married, she should come home earlier, right? Especially since you're sick, Raymond. She should be taking care of you."

Raymond's face darkened at the mention of his wife.

"I don't need her care."

Honestly, he was glad she wasn't around.

Olivia almost burst out laughing but held it in.

Fiona couldn't take it anymore and made up an excuse to leave, leaving them alone in the hall.

Raymond was still mulling over the morning meeting data when Olivia said, "I ran into Selena on my way here. She lost my kitten. You know how much I love my two cats. Now I can't sit still, always worried something might happen to them."

When it came to his wife, Raymond was either indifferent or annoyed. But when it came to Selena, his eyelashes fluttered a bit.

"She lost your cat?"

Olivia thought he was going to back her up and nodded slightly.

"The maid said she wanted to pet the cat, but it ran away. I gave her two hours to find it. If she can't, I might have to stay in the hospital for a while."

She didn't outright suggest firing Selena, knowing that would tick him off.

Raymond thought, 'What trouble has she gotten into now?'

Had the issues at Rose Garden been sorted out?

She hadn't called him, so they should be.

Now she had ticked off Olivia, who really cared about that cat. Selena probably couldn't handle it.

In that case, she would have to call him.

He lowered his eyelashes, looking indifferent.

Olivia thought he didn't care about Selena either and felt pretty pleased, but she was also a bit uneasy about what Lillian had said.

"Raymond, when I went to the Montague Group before, I heard some gossip. They said they saw you coming out of Selena's room."

Raymond's face didn't change.

"She's Carter's friend. Carter asked me to take her home. She was sick and almost fainted, so I had to help her to her place."

Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed she had a good chance of winning.

She looked at Raymond with deep affection and was about to lean in closer when the doorbell rang. She thought it was Raymond's wife returning and immediately clung to his arm tightly.

This way, that woman would know her place in this home.

Fiona opened the door, and her eyes lit up when she saw William standing outside. She eagerly stepped aside.

William, leaning on a cane, immediately saw the two people sitting closely on the sofa.

He snorted in anger but kept his cool.

Seeing him, Olivia was so scared she immediately let go of Raymond and moved a few steps away, her face turning pale.

Why was William here?

Her heart pounded, and her palms got all sweaty with nerves.
