Chapter 278 Did I Make You Cry with Kisses?
It felt like she was being chased by tigers and wolves.
Next thing she knew, she was hoisted up and plopped onto the hallway cabinet.
"Raymond!"
Her voice was shaky with fear, now eye-level with him.
Raymond was really tall.
Selena was so scared she pressed against the wall, but he grabbed her chin.
That first night, she learned he was a beast in bed, nothing like the cold, noble guy everyone else saw.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent her straight to the hospital.
With her chin in his grip, Selena didn't dare move, tears welling up in her eyes.
Raymond stared at her beautiful face, his other hand on her waist.
He leaned in and kissed her, prying her lips open, giving her no chance to refuse.
Selena was so terrified she froze, her whole body stiff.
When she realized what was happening, she started struggling to get down.
But Raymond kissed her so deeply she couldn't breathe, her legs turning to jelly.
Tears filled her eyes, and for a moment, she stopped struggling, feeling like she was being pulled into a dark pit.
The kiss moved downward.
Raymond bent slightly, finally touching the breasts he had seen that night.
Selena's mind snapped back, and she pushed him away with all her strength.
She used so much force that even Raymond stumbled back a few steps.
Selena quickly got down from the cabinet, opened the door, and bolted out.
But in her panic, she tripped and fell as soon as she got out the door.
The documents in her hand scattered like leaves in the wind.
Raymond had tried to catch her, but she fell too fast for him to react.
Now, Selena was sitting in a pile of papers, ignoring the pain in her legs, frantically picking them up one by one.
Raymond squatted down, seeing that she wouldn't look up, and deliberately pressed down on the nearest sheet.
She hurriedly picked up the papers until she reached the one he was holding down.
Raymond didn't move, noticing a few drops of water suddenly falling on the paper.
Was she crying?
The tear spread on the white paper.
Raymond reached out, lifting her chin, and sure enough, she was crying.
Her clothes were a mess, buttons undone and not yet fastened.
He had kissed her hard just now, leaving hickeys from her neck down, faintly visible in her slightly open collar.
"Crying because I kissed you?"
His tone was indifferent, his gaze falling on her face.
Selena's pupils contracted slightly, hardly believing that Raymond would say such a thing.
Everyone said he was very cold, and he never had female companions around him.
Selena didn't have the confidence to think he could fall in love with her.
Besides, she didn't like him either.
Rather than being kissed to tears, it was more accurate to say she was scared to tears, frightened by the moment she almost succumbed.
Raymond's long, narrow eyes lifted slightly, a deep indifference in his gaze.
"Sorry, I mistook you for someone else. I thought Olivia was here."
He stood up slightly, standing at the door, one hand on the door.
Selena was stunned, then breathed a sigh of relief. Raymond probably didn't expect her to come back.
So he had a date with Olivia tonight?
Raymond pointed to the elevator, his slender fingers seemingly still holding her warmth.
"Aren't you going to celebrate your husband's promotion? Why aren't you leaving?"
Selena immediately understood; he was probably afraid Olivia would misunderstand.
She breathed a sigh of relief, quickly wiping her tears.
"I'll take my leave then."
Raymond lowered his gaze and closed the door.
Selena walked into the elevator, her legs weak, quickly grabbing the handrail inside.
If it had been any other woman just now, she might have half-heartedly gone along with it, as Raymond's face was simply too tempting to resist.
She glanced at the mirror, noticing her buttons were undone, revealing some hickeys in her slightly open collar. She quickly raised her hand to button up.
But the elevator stopped on the first floor, and Alex walked in.
Selena's hand froze. Instinctively, she wanted to turn around, but the elevator's mirrors showed her face and the marks on her neck, revealing her guilt.
Alex glanced at her, raising an eyebrow slightly, his tone amused.
"Selena?"
