Elara's eyes were puffy from crying as she stormed around the Reed Villa, her anger palpable.
"Who the hell posted those videos? Was it Ann? And who the heck is Selena? Block her account now! Or better yet, sue her! I want her reputation in shambles!"
But as soon as she finished, the Reed family members stayed silent, their faces grim.
Elara paused, her voice wavering. "What's going on? Isn't she just some nobody? She just got lucky with Raymond, right?"
"Elara, it's more complicated than that. We found out Selena isn't just backed by Raymond; she's the long-lost daughter of the Smith family. You know how powerful the Smith family is in Vistalia. Richard has already shown his support for his sister on his international social media."
Elara was stunned. How did that bitch end up being the Smith family's daughter?
And why would Selena go to such lengths for Ann? Ann was just a regular employee at S.M. Corporation.
Everyone was silent; none of them had expected Selena to get involved.
Someone suggested, "Why don't we call Selena? Alex has her contact info, right? Let's talk to her and clear up any misunderstandings."
But what misunderstanding could there be?
The videos of Elara bullying Ann were still trending. It was clear that Selena was standing up for her friend.
Elara collapsed onto the floor, unable to believe that her reputation had crumbled in just one day, turning her into a laughingstock.
Covering her face, she rasped, "Get Alex to give me her contact info. I'll talk to her. Ann is just a regular employee. Would Selena really go against the Reed family for her?"
When Alex got the call, he wanted to say that contacting Selena was pointless and would only invite humiliation. Everyone knew how protective she was, and Elara had indeed gone too far.
But he couldn't be bothered to explain. They wanted the number, so he gave it to them.
Elara immediately called Selena.
Selena, not recognizing the unfamiliar number, answered the call. "Hello?"
"Hi, this is Elara."
The next second, the call was disconnected.
Elara couldn't believe it. How dare that bitch hang up on her!
She called again, but this time her number was blocked.
Elara trembled with rage, barely containing herself as she looked at the other Reed family members.
"One of you call her."
But who would dare?
Who could guarantee that calling Selena wouldn't make things worse for the Reed family?
Elara took a deep breath. "Why are we afraid of her? We're the Reed family! Let's just buy out S.M. Corporation. She's not even in the country. Let's see her cry then!"

Timothy had seen the videos online and called off the engagement without a second thought.
Elara's face turned pale.
"The videos are fake. I can explain. I need to meet with Paul."
But Paul, known for his ruthlessness with women, wouldn't meet her.
Elara realized she had underestimated the impact of this situation.
She ran out, desperate to find Paul.
