Chapter 293 Isn't She still Hooking Up with Raymond?

She was totally acting like she hadn't seen the message.

When she got to the hospital, she spotted the same cat from yesterday, probably back for a follow-up.

But this time, Olivia wasn't there; it was the maid from last night.

The maid still had five finger marks on her face, showing just how hard Olivia had slapped her.

The cat was in a cage, and the maid took it out and handed it to the doctor for a check-up.

The doctor walked past Selena with the cat, and she couldn't help but think how gorgeous the cat was. It was the most stunning Ragdoll cat she'd ever seen.

Its blue eyes were like the sea, and its fur was so fluffy and beautiful, making you want to pet it.

But remembering it was Olivia's cat, she held back and went to see Max.

Max had a bit more energy today and wagged his tail in the dog cage when he saw her.

Since his wound still needed to heal, the doctor kept him in the cage to stop him from running around.

But Selena always let Max roam free, even in the big room at the back of Ashbourne Manor, where he wouldn't feel trapped.

Seeing Max in the cage now made her a bit sad.

"Doc, can I take Max home the day after tomorrow?"

"Yeah, but make sure to put the medicine on him every day."

Selena nodded and patted Max on the head.

After spending some time with him, she planned to head home.

This hospital wasn't on a busy street but in a quiet residential area, mainly serving the nearby villa community.

As Selena walked to her parked car, she heard the maid crying, and the cage next to her was empty.

Since she had to pass by, Selena asked out of curiosity, "The cat ran away?"

The maid, a young girl, looked scared out of her mind.

"Yeah, what am I gonna do? Miss Stone will kill me. This Ragdoll cat cost fifty grand. I can't pay for it even if I sell myself."

"Look around nearby and put up a missing cat notice."

Just as she finished talking, an expensive car pulled up not far away.

Olivia got out, her brows furrowed tightly.

"What happened? Where's my cat?"

The maid was startled, not understanding why Olivia suddenly showed up. She quickly stood up and wiped the tears from her cheeks.

"Miss."

Olivia didn't bring Raymond with her today since he was still running a fever and was already waiting at Ashbourne Manor.

She was on her way to Ashbourne Manor for dinner but was worried about her cat. Seeing the empty cage, her face darkened.

"You lost the cat?"

The maid turned pale with fear and suddenly glanced at Selena, quickly shifting the blame.

"I'm sorry. This lady suddenly asked to pet the cat, so I opened the cage. I didn't expect the cat to run out and disappear."

Selena was about to leave but was surprised by what she heard.

The maid didn't dare to look at her, keeping her head down and continuing to cry.

"I tried to stop her, but she seemed to know Mr. Montague, so I..."

Olivia was almost amused by the anger. She had already suspected the designer of having an affair with Raymond, and now Selena had lost her cat.

Her gaze fell on Selena, her face turning completely cold.

"If you don't find my cat within two hours, I'll make sure you can't work in this industry anymore. And I'll have Raymond fire you too."

Selena frowned, finding it amusing.

"Whatever."

The maid shivered at her words, thinking Selena would explain herself. But she didn't, which was great!

Selena noticed the change in her expression and smirked coldly.

She looked around. This was a residential area with few cameras, so it was no wonder the maid dared to frame her.

"I don't like taking the blame for others. Your cat has nothing to do with me. If you're just using the cat as an excuse to give me a hard time, then nothing I say will make a difference."

The moment Olivia approached, Selena could tell she had a lot of resentment towards her.

But why was she being like this?

Wasn't she cozying up to Raymond just last night?
