Chapter 398 Signing the Divorce Agreement Without Hesitation

She threw on the clothes she had set out earlier and checked her phone.

It was on, and there were a bunch of missed calls from Lucas and a message from Raymond.

He went abroad.

Seeing that, Selena's mind cleared up real quick.

Raymond being out of the country meant he wouldn't be bugging her for a few days, right?

She washed her face, thinking about heading back to Rose Garden, but she was just too wiped out.

Her body ached all over.

Someone quietly wheeled in a food cart, didn't say a word, and left behind a medical kit.

Selena recognized some of the meds inside.

She'd bought them from the hospital before; looked like Raymond knew he went overboard last night.

She took a shower, applied some medicine, popped a fever reducer, and crashed on the couch.

She thought she'd head back to Rose Garden that night. But nope, she ended up staying in the hotel for two whole days.

She was resting, fighting off a fever with the hand of the meds.

It took her two days to finally feel like she could leave the room.

Selena was genuinely freaked out this time.

Back at Rose Garden, she immediately started looking for help online.

[What to do if my husband has too much energy? Is there any way to damp it down?]

Her fingers were shaking as she typed out the question.

This pain wasn't just physical; it was a kind of exhaustion that left her too drained to do anything else.

She was desperate for a solution.

But the question got answered by a bunch of people real quick.

[Bully for you.]

[Seriously, my husband lasts only three minutes. It's over before I'm even ready, and I'm left in tears.]

[Married for ten years, no desires left. Men talk big, but it's over in a few minutes.]

[If you don't want your husband, give him to me.]

Selena posted another message, genuinely.

[I'm serious.]

She thought everyone was joking.

But the replies came in fast.

[Where can I find a husband like yours?]

[No, she thinks we're joking. I always praise my husband to avoid hurting his feelings, and now he really thinks he's great. I don't have the heart to tell him otherwise.]

Selena felt a wave of anxiety, remembering what Raymond had said last time.

Raymond really meant what he said.

She had rested for two days and still felt exhausted.

She dejectedly closed her laptop and lay down on the couch.

Meanwhile, Raymond had just gotten off the plane, sitting next to Olivia.

Everyone who went for Steve's painting this time came back disappointed.

The auction had hyped it up, saying Steve's painting would be the highlight.

But the highlight wasn't his painting; it was said that Steve's painting had already been given away, but no one in the industry knew who it was given to.

Olivia's face didn't look good. She had prepared money, hoping to use the painting to please Abigail.

Now the painting was given away, and her efforts were in vain.

She couldn't help but glance at Raymond beside her. His expression remained indifferent, and he only made a brief appearance at the auction before attending to business.

He had been in meetings abroad for the past two days.

Olivia recalled sitting next to him on the flight out. Although Raymond was busy with documents the entire time, she felt a sense of satisfaction emanating from him.

As if he had indulged in something he liked very much.

But she couldn't ask; Raymond didn't seem to have any particular likes.

He was indifferent to everything.

"Raymond, do you know who the painting was given to?"

Raymond didn't even lift his eyes from the documents. His phone buzzed with a message from the hotel, saying Selena had left today.

Two days, and she could finally go out.

He chuckled, recalling the underground garage that night, feeling a burst of warmth in his chest, and a smile tugged at his lips.

"No idea."

Seeing his good mood, Olivia took the opportunity to ask a sensitive question, "Grandma seems to really dislike your wife. If she comes back, she'll definitely make you get a divorce."

Raymond raised an eyebrow and actually seemed relieved.

"If Grandpa's health improves, I would sign the divorce papers without hesitation."

There was no trace of mercy in his words.
