Selena's calm face suddenly stiffened, and she hesitated. "Well, I've been here twice."
This kind of restaurant, her husband had only brought her here twice.
Raymond's brow furrowed even more, but he kept quiet. It was their family business, after all.
His fingers rested on the table, contrasting with the red roses nearby, looking even more striking than usual.
Selena quickly forgot about the Fair family's issues, her eyes drifting to his fingers.
Next to his fingers were a few bright red roses, the white and red colors complementing each other.
The setup was nice; she could sketch it later, then sleep, and head to Ridgefield when she woke up.
Raymond noticed she wasn't talking and was staring at his hand, lost in thought.
Her gaze was obvious, full of appreciation.
Raymond was about to say something when he looked up and saw a couple walking over from a distance. The guy was Lucas.
Lucas clearly hadn't seen Selena and was chatting and laughing with the woman.
The woman seemed a bit fake, lightly hitting his shoulder, making Lucas blush and scratch his head in embarrassment.
The two sat down in a corner, Lucas's hand resting on the table.
The woman said something to him, then reached out and flirtatiously stroked the back of his hand.
Lucas's face turned even redder, but he didn't pull his hand back.
This was his female colleague from Cornerstone Construction, who had asked him to drive her home tonight.
Although Lucas was active in the department, no one knew about his family situation, and he never talked about it.

The two were already drinking, and the woman was intentionally leaning towards Lucas, kissing him on the lips.
Lucas had never been seduced by a woman like this before, and since she was offering herself, why refuse?
Before long, they were kissing passionately.
