Chapter 1371 How I Love You

Selena wanted to protest. She wanted to say of course she loved him, that she'd been waiting for his return, constantly worried about him.

Yet now she couldn't quite articulate her feelings, as if backed into an impossible corner.

She wanted to love him, but something in her mind kept interfering with that desire.

A wave of nausea hit her, but when she tried to vomit, nothing would come up.

It wasn't exactly a headache—just an overwhelming sense of dread. Every second with Raymond filled her with anxiety.

Raymond yanked off his tie and blindfolded her.

He couldn't bear to see that emotionless gaze any longer.

Darkness enveloped her, amplifying every physical sensation a thousandfold.

Even after taking her twice, Raymond wasn't satisfied. He pressed her into the plush carpet, his passion bordering on rage, as if he wished to destroy her completely.

"Raymond..." she kept pleading, trying to remove the tie from her eyes.

But he only intensified his efforts.

"If you've forgotten, then feel it—feel how I love you. Remember everything."

"I haven't forgotten. I truly haven't."

"Selena, you've changed. You've been domesticated like an obedient pet, like someone's removed your sharp edges."

Selena fell silent. His words struck her like lightning.

Raymond's sweat dripped onto her chest as he spoke hoarsely, "But I don't blame you. I'll heal you."

Selena barely reacted, thinking almost clinically that his lovemaking skills were genuinely impressive.

They continued until dawn. He never made her uncomfortable, occasionally pausing to let her recover, but always holding her, whispering intimate words.

When he finally removed the tie, her eyes stared vacantly at the ceiling, her hair damp with sweat.

Raymond studied her flushed cheeks, bringing the tie to his nose to inhale her lingering scent.

The gesture made Selena tense, causing her to avert her gaze.

He carefully folded the tie, set it aside, and carried her to the bathroom.

After their shower, they moved to the bed.

He held her, seemingly aware of her unease, gently rubbing her back to soothe her.

Despite her exhaustion, Selena couldn't sleep. She couldn't shake the desire to return to Victor.

Subconsciously, she knew this was wrong, that it would hurt Raymond.

But she couldn't control the persistent thought.

Hearing Raymond's soft breathing beside her, she checked her phone and saw a message from Victor.

Victor: [How are you feeling?]

The message had been sent hours ago, but she'd been too preoccupied to respond.

She had expected to feel happy returning to Raymond, but didn't.

Selena: [Dr. Barnes, am I sick? I thought I'd be excited, but I seem incapable of feeling much of anything.]

What she couldn't tell Raymond came naturally in her message to Victor.

Victor read her message, raising an eyebrow slightly.

Anyone present would have noticed the small red birthmark on his left earlobe at that moment.

Victor: [Selena, it's because you never loved him. I sent you back so you could see this truth for yourself. If you want to return, you can—anytime.]

After sending this message, he took a sip from his glass of red wine.

Across from him sat a man who looked identical to him. They shared not only appearances but also the name Victor.

They were twins, their every movement nearly identical—the result of years of training.
