Chapter 193 Not Fair to Her
William yelled, "Take off your coat!"
It had been ages since William had been this mad.
Raymond, thinking about William's health, knew Mr. William needed to blow off some steam.
And honestly, he couldn't deny what William was accusing him of.
Raymond had indeed been unfaithful to Selena with other women.
The butler took Raymond's jacket, leaving him in just a thin shirt.
The whip cracked hard across Raymond's back.
William, a former military man, was still strong despite his illness. The whip's force was brutal.
Raymond winced, feeling like his back was being ripped apart.
William shouted, "I don't care if others mess around, but how could you betray Selena! She's such a good girl. It's just not fair to her!"
The whip kept coming down!
Raymond's back was soon a mess of crisscrossing welts, looking gruesome.
Grace, standing nearby, hadn't expected William to be so harsh. She was shocked and quickly tried to intervene. "Please stop."
"Shut up!" William's face was red, his eyes locked on her. "No one is allowed to plead for this bastard!"
In the Montague Family, William was the top dog. He had handed the Montague Group over to Raymond, and with so many younger family members and Raymond's uncles around, it was clear how much William valued him.
He even personally arranged his marriage.
Two more lashes landed on Raymond's back.
Despite the blood soaking his white shirt, Raymond stood tall. Hearing William's heavy breathing, he didn't dare to argue.
The truth was, Raymond didn't even like Selena; she was entirely William's choice.
If William really felt bad for her, he might as well let them divorce.
But saying that would probably make William pass out from anger.
After half an hour of whipping, William seemed to have calmed down and tossed the whip to the butler.
The butler's hands shook as he took the bloodied whip.
William sat down, looking serious. "Raymond, I know you feel wronged, but no matter what, Selena is your wife. You even had sex with her, so you should be responsible. I don't plan to tell Selena about this, and you better keep quiet. If she finds out, buy her some gifts to make it up to her, and don't see other women again, or else..."
A dangerous glint flashed in William's eyes.
Raymond frowned, feeling absurd about the mention of sex. What had Selena said?
Just as he was about to retort, William started coughing violently. "Selena is a good girl. Remember that. If you mess around again, I'll deal with you and the woman you're cheating with!"
Selena's face flashed through Raymond's mind. Strangely, he didn't want her to suffer because of this.
"Get out!" William pounded his chest in anger. The butler quickly handed the whip to someone else. It had been years since William had used it.
The butler hurriedly brought medicine and gave it to William.
Grace walked over, picked up Raymond's coat, and tried to help him up.
But Raymond stood up on his own. Seeing William still panting, he knew he couldn't push him further. "Grandpa, take care of yourself."
William said, "Stop making me angry! I can live longer!"
Raymond immediately shut up and took the coat Grace handed him.
William probably didn't want to see him right now.
Just as Raymond was about to leave, William spoke, "Buy some gifts for Selena. You owe her for this. Even if she doesn't know, you need to make it up to her."
Raymond frowned, his dislike for Selena growing. "Okay."
