Chapter 122 Unexpected Meeting with Fiorello's Former Date
Fiorello walked hand in hand with Maggie, offering her reassurance as they approached the private room.
Maggie glanced at the words on the door of the private room. "Rose Private Room." Each private room here was named after a flower.
As Fiorello pushed open the door, a rich classical ambiance greeted them, accompanied by a table full of dishes. All of this had been pre-ordered by Fiorello through Benjamin, so they could start eating as soon as they arrived, without waiting. He ordered everything based on Maggie's preferences.
Benjamin, seeing Fiorello arrive with Maggie, stood up in awe. "Fiorello, Maggie looks even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Maggie, I'm Benjamin, Fiorello's friend. Nice to meet you."
Seeing Maggie's nervousness, Benjamin finally understood why Fiorello had settled down. If Benjamin had such a beautiful and sensible wife, he would also eagerly marry her.
Maggie was wearing a custom-made floral dress, with a small vest on the outside. She exuded charm and elegance, with delicate features and smooth skin, akin to the lead in a romantic comedy.
Benjamin wanted to shake hands with Maggie. When Maggie smiled and reached out her hand, Fiorello beat him to it, introducing, "This is my wife, Maggie." His words were simple, straightforward, and powerful.
Benjamin jokingly withdrew his hand. "Fiorello, you're too possessive. We're just shaking hands. No need to be jealous. Why should I shake hands with you?"
Maggie chuckled, noting Fiorello's possessiveness. Fiorello asserted, "Only I can hold my wife's hand. No one else can touch Maggie's hand."
"Putting love over friendship," Benjamin quipped, then pulled out a chair and invited Maggie to sit. "Maggie, please."
Fiorello had already pulled out the chair next to him, serving his wife himself. Benjamin didn't say anything Maggie chose Fiorello's chair and sat down, saying to Benjamin, "Fiorello is just a little jealous. Don't mind him."
"Maggie, don't worry. I wouldn't dare to challenge him, especially since he has so many tricks up his sleeve," Benjamin said with a smile as he sat down. "Fiorello is very good at hiding things, that's why I only see you now. I truly regret it."
Fiorello glanced at Benjamin. "It's an honor for you to dine here."
"That's right. I'm already lucky enough to see Maggie. Not everyone is as lucky as I am." Benjamin acknowledged. If Benjamin and Fiorello didn't have a good relationship, there was no way Fiorello would bring Maggie here with him.
As they chatted, the private room door was pushed open again, this time by a beautiful woman. The woman walked in with a smile, her gaze bypassing Maggie and fixing on Fiorello. "Fiorello, it's been years."
Fiorello glanced at her, his brow furrowing slightly, and then he glanced at Benjamin. Benjamin felt guilty and quickly explained, "I ran into Jenny, and she insisted on joining us when she heard we were here."
The woman was Jenny Holmes, the heiress of the Holmes Group in Cyberland, and the Holmes family had some connections with the Flores family. Before Fiorello married Maggie, Eleanor showed Fiorello Jenny's photo as one of his potential dates. However, Jenny was just one of the candidates Eleanor had selected for Fiorello, and they never actually met.
Benjamin whispered to Fiorello, "Don't worry, I've told Jenny not to say anything." Soon, Benjamin was proven wrong.
Maggie curiously looked at Fiorello and then at Jenny. Her woman's intuition told her that there must be a story between this woman and Fiorello.
Sure enough, Jenny naturally and elegantly reached out her hand and introduced herself to Maggie. "Hello, I'm Jenny Holmes, one of Fiorello's former dates. I heard Fiorello got married, so I wanted to see who could capture his heart. Indeed, seeing is believing. If I were a man, I would want to marry you too."
The key point was that Jenny was one of Fiorello's former dates. Maggie glanced at Fiorello. She had heard from Eleanor and the dating website that Fiorello had dated many women, but Maggie didn't expect to meet one of Fiorello's former dates here, and Jenny's words, though seemingly graceful, were a bit nauseating.
Fiorello sensed that something was off. When he was about to speak, Maggie quietly reached out her hand and smiled. "Hello, I'm Maggie Miller, Fiorello's wife."
