Chapter 543 Arya's Intelligence

All men, Fiorello, also understood Joseph's situation at the time.

Fiorello said, "Dad, you and Mom have been in love for so many years. To solve the problem, you must go back to the root of the issue. When a problem arises, it needs to be faced, not shelved, or it will only drive you further apart."

Joseph was greatly inspired and also felt ashamed.

After he and Eleanor had problems, he never faced them head-on. When Eleanor went to Atlantica, he didn't go after her.

"Yeah, I know what to do," Joseph said. "As for you and Maggie, it's your decision. Dad hopes you can live well. If Maggie can make you happy, I have no objections."

Joseph was not a stubborn person. As long as Maggie's character was not an issue and Fiorello liked her, he wouldn't say anything.

Now that the truth about Kimberly was out, he had no reason to stop them.

"Thanks, Dad." Fiorello crossed his hands, his gaze slightly heavy. "Dad, if you can convince Mom to accept Gregory and let him join the Flores family, I have no objections."

"Really?" Joseph was flattered. He never dared to bring up letting Gregory come back. Even if he acknowledged Gregory, it was only nominally.

Fiorello nodded. "You've educated him quite well. He's much better at business than Holden. He's just impulsive, stubborn, and easily loses judgment."

Joseph said awkwardly, "Are you talking about the time Gregory bought out the goods you wanted? I've talked to him many times about it. I don't know why he insists on going against you."

"He's competitive, which is understandable, but he's lacking in strength. However, he might not appreciate it."

This evaluation was spot on.

After stating his intentions, Fiorello left. Joseph called Gregory and conveyed Fiorello's message to him.

Gregory was also shocked and stubbornly said, "Who wants to join your Flores family? I don't care."

"Why are you still so hot-tempered? Fiorello was right. You're stubborn, competitive, and lacking in strength. He really hit the nail on the head. You won't appreciate it."

Gregory felt completely seen through by Fiorello. He said angrily, "I'm not interested in this. Just because Fiorello says something, I have to listen to him? Who does he think he is?"

After saying that, Gregory hung up the phone.

Joseph was angry again and said to the phone, "Bastard."

The next day.

Maggie bought a ticket to London. She handed Adalia over to Fiorello and went to London alone.

Not fully understanding the situation, she didn't want Fiorello to get involved in the Jackson family disputes. Fiorello was also a public figure, easily exploited and discussed by those with ulterior motives.

Maggie arrived in London at noon and met with Arya.

Arya said, "Maggie, we have to rescue your dad, or he'll really suffer."

Maggie asked, "Did he really have a stroke?"

"Yes, I saw it with my own eyes. He can't even speak."

"How did he have a stroke?"

"I found out it was a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital, and after waking up, he was like this. Your dad was in good health before. He can't have a heart attack out of nowhere. I secretly went into the Jackson family to see your dad. It was Ashley's doing."

Maggie frowned. "Now, Timothy completely controls the Jackson Group. Ashley stated on behalf of Dad to the board, saying he was retiring to recuperate."

Arya said, "I suspect this was Ashley's goal. Your dad said before that he wanted to leave the company to you. Ashley must have been unhappy and harmed your dad."

Maggie thought of how Mark had come to see her before returning to London, asking her to join the company and willing to let her take over. She had softened.

"Mom, do you still have the stock transfer document Dad gave you last time?"

"Yes," Arya said. "I brought it with me, along with the letter promising you the inheritance of the Jackson Group."

Maggie was surprised. "Mom, you're well-prepared."

"When your dad had the accident, I had a bad feeling, so I kept these things. I originally planned to use them to threaten Ashley to let me see your dad. But then I thought if these things were taken away, we would lose our leverage, so I kept them."

Maggie felt a bit emotional about Arya's fluctuating intelligence.

Arya went to get the stock transfer document and the letter promising Maggie the inheritance of the Jackson Group. "Maggie, take a look. I don't know if your dad is tricking us again with a fake."

Last time, Mark had tricked Arya with a fake divorce certificate.

Maggie joked, "I'll find a lawyer to verify it. If it's fake, we'll go back and leave him to his own devices."
