Chapter 548 Mysterious Man
After Maggie left the Jackson family, she let Mr. Ramirez go first.
Arya asked in confusion, "Maggie, why are you giving the company to them? You have this equity transfer agreement; they wouldn't dare not hand over the company."
Maggie retorted, "Mom, do you want the company or Dad?"
"The company is your dad's hard work. If you give it away, he definitely won't be happy," Arya understood Mark well.
"If a person doesn't even have their health, what's the point of fighting over external possessions?"
Maggie spoke frankly, "This is the fastest way to bring Dad back. I've never managed the Jackson Group. If I take the equity agreement to the Jackson Group and announce that I'm the new president, will the other shareholders be happy? Ashley and the White family definitely won't let go so easily. Because of the incident with Isabella, Maggie didn't dare to trust anyone easily.
The two took a cab back to the Mirage Haven Hotel. Arya returned to the hotel first, while Maggie went to the supermarket to buy some things.
After shopping, Maggie waited alone for the elevator. When it arrived, she entered and pressed the button for her floor.
Just as the elevator was about to close, a pair of slender, well-defined male hands blocked the door.
The elevator made a sound, startling Maggie. She looked up and met a pair of sharp, eagle-like eyes.
Instinctively, Maggie moved a bit inside. Ivan Richardson, wearing a mask, walked in, nodded slightly to Maggie as an apology, very politely, and then took out a pack of sanitary pads, "You dropped something."
If Ivan hadn't spoken, Maggie would have thought she had encountered a pervert when he suddenly took out a pack of sanitary pads.

Ivan didn't press any floor buttons. The elevator slowly closed, leaving only Maggie and Ivan inside.

As the elevator ascended, she smelled a faint scent of blood. She glanced around and noticed Ivan's right arm was wrapped in bandages and injured.
It seemed to be a fresh wound.
The way he treated the wound was very rough, not like it was professionally handled at a hospital.
Maggie couldn't help but say, "Your wound is still bleeding. You should go to the hospital to get it treated. It could get infected and cause a lot of trouble. You need to take care of yourself."
Maggie's words seemed to touch a rusty string in Ivan's heart, causing something to fall away.
He needed to take care of himself.
In his twenty-some years of life, it was the first time someone had said such words to Ivan.
The elevator opened, and Maggie walked towards her room with her things. Ivan also exited the elevator, walking in the opposite direction down the hallway, entering a room and taking off his mask.
This man was the same Ivan who had handed Jenny a note at the wedding.
