Chapter 577 Eleanor Refuses to Forgive

The next morning, Fiorello took the child to the Flores Manor and handed him over to Joseph to raise.

Fiorello would never raise Gregory and Jenny's son.

Joseph knew it was Gregory's son, and he was more than happy to raise him. The conflicts between adults had nothing to do with the child.

The Flores family couldn't just abandon their child.

After taking in the child, Joseph immediately hired two nannies to take care of him and gave him a name, Jeffrey Flores.

Joseph hoped this child would bring joy to the Flores family.

Eleanor listened to Joseph calling Jeffrey and sneered, "This child isn't bringing joy; I think he's bringing trouble."

Eleanor couldn't feel happy looking at this child.

She could have been holding her grandson, but instead, she ended up with Jenny's child. It was simply outrageous.

If it were just Gregory's child, Eleanor might not mind, but the fact that the child was also Jenny's made it disgusting.

Joseph said, "Eleanor, don't hold a grudge against a child. He's so young; what does he know?"

"How do you feel when you look at this child and think of your deceased mother?" Eleanor said, "This child's mother is the one who killed your mom."

"Jeffrey calls me grandpa. He's Gregory's child. As for his mother, I'll pretend she doesn't exist. From now on, the child will have the last name Flores and have nothing to do with Jenny," Joseph said. "You reminded me, from now on, we won't tell anyone that this child is Jenny's. We'll say he's Gregory's child with someone else."

Eleanor sarcastically said, "You really treat this child like a treasure. Handle it yourself."

Seeing Eleanor about to leave, Joseph said, "Eleanor, where are you going? How about I drive you?"

He took the opportunity to be attentive.

Since Eleanor returned from Atlantica, she had only been concerned with one thing: organizing Maggie and Fiorello's wedding. She didn't care about anything else, let alone repairing her relationship with Joseph.

Eleanor's tone was indifferent, "No need, you just stay with your precious grandson."

"Eleanor," Joseph kept calling her name, sounding very close, "I'll drive you. It's getting hot, and I don't feel comfortable with you out there alone. What if you get heatstroke?"

As Joseph spoke, he reached out to pull Eleanor. She initially wanted to shake him off but softened a bit when she saw the scar on his palm, remembering how Joseph had caught the knife Fiorello had stabbed with his bare hands.

Eleanor didn't say anything and let Joseph lead her to the car.

Joseph was in a great mood today. He had a grandson, and Eleanor was willing to let him accompany her out.

Joseph started the car and asked, "Eleanor, where do you want to go?"

"To get a beauty treatment," Eleanor said. "With Fiorello and Maggie's wedding coming up, I need to take care of myself."

"Yes, you should take care of yourself. Women need to maintain a good mood; that's the best beauty treatment," Joseph said with a smile. "After we handle our son's wedding, let's go to Atlantica together to see the lavender."

Eleanor was surprised, "Since when did you become so romantic?"

He was even learning from young people to see lavender.

"Fiorello said before that when there are problems in a marriage, you need to face them and solve them. In this regard, I'm really not as good as Fiorello," Joseph sighed. "Fiorello and Maggie have had a rough journey, but no matter what happened, Fiorello always persisted and firmly chose Maggie. I'm getting old, but I've suddenly started to believe in love again."

Eleanor sarcastically said, "Don't compare yourself to Fiorello. Fiorello knows what he wants and stands firm. And you? You cheated on me when I was pregnant. Joseph, don't you find that disgusting?"

Talking about this made Eleanor angry.

Joseph quickly said, "I was wrong about that, Eleanor. Can we just let it go?"

"No," Eleanor said coldly. "You men make mistakes and just want to cover them up and never mention them again."

"But we can't keep dwelling on the past. We need to look forward."

"Why do I keep dwelling on it? Because you never handled it properly. You never dealt with the conflicts between me and your mother well. Your attitude fueled your mother's arrogance, making me hold a grudge for a lifetime."
