Chapter 534 The Crazy Jenny
Jenny vented her emotions freely, and the hatred in her eyes was so real.
Gregory frowned, his face looking grim. He had his pride too, and he never expected to be seen as so worthless in Jenny's eyes.
Jenny killed Kimberly, who tried to set them up, just to avoid marrying him.
"You lunatic, you're insane," Joseph was enraged. "You're irredeemable."
Jenny spat disdainfully, her eyes wide with anger. "It was all you Flores family who forced me. Where's Eleanor? Why isn't she here today? She's the root of all this. She said she wanted me to be her daughter-in-law, wanted me to marry Fiorello. I went to the date full of joy, only to be humiliated by you Flores family. What right do you have to insult me like this?"
After blaming Eleanor, Jenny looked at Maggie. "What makes you better than me? A street vendor without a college degree, pregnant before marriage, yet you can marry into the Flores family. Are you Flores family out of your mind? You'd rather accept a woman like her than even look at me."
Holden retorted, "A jealous, hypocritical, and ruthless woman like you doesn't deserve to marry into our Flores family. Compared to Maggie, you're nothing."
"No matter how good she is, she couldn't even protect her own child. But I'm carrying a Flores family child. Maggie, your child was unlucky to be in your womb. I heard it was a boy, but he died because of Kimberly and me. Do you hate me? If you have the guts, come avenge your child. If you don't have the courage, I look down on you."
Jenny deliberately provoked Maggie, hoping Maggie would make a mistake in public, preferably attack her, making it impossible for Fiorello to protect Maggie.
Maggie remained calm. Though there was hatred in her eyes, it wasn't to the point of losing control.
She stared coldly at Jenny and said, "The law will punish you for what you've done. I won't dirty my hands."
"You're so hypocritical," Jenny cursed. "Maggie, can you say you didn't want to kill Kimberly when you stabbed her? I just finished what you didn't. You really disappoint me. If you had killed her with one stab, I wouldn't have needed to finish the job. You're hypocritical, you're also a murderer. We're accomplices. What right do you have to be with Fiorello?"
Jenny's biting remarks struck a nerve with Maggie. She didn't dare agree to Fiorello's request for remarriage because she felt guilty.
She did have the intention to kill Kimberly back then, but she didn't deliver a fatal blow.
Fiorello noticed Maggie's emotional turmoil and stepped forward to hold her hand, standing with her in public. "Maggie doesn't need to feel guilty, nor does she owe the Flores family anything. I understand all her actions. As her husband, it is my failure to take care of her and our child."
With these words, Jenny was utterly defeated.
What did she have to compete with Maggie?
The guests admired Fiorello's clear sense of right and wrong. Most people wouldn't see it this way.
Frankly, if their owned child, after five months of pregnancy, was killed, who wouldn't be angry?
People were not emotionless beings.
Women were inherently gentle, but as mothers, they became strong, willing to sacrifice everything for their children.
Many mothers present thought about being in Maggie's situation and felt they might have done something even more extreme.
Holden shouted, "Jenny, Fiorello rejected you from the start. It is your possessiveness and madness that led to this. Did you really think you could get whatever you wanted? Love can't be forced, and you are just selfish. You just can't stand losing; you never truly loved Fiorello."
"History is written by the victors. I lost, so whatever you say is right." Jenny glared viciously at Gregory and shouted, "Gregory, you bastard, your woman and child are bullied, and you do nothing. You're not a man."
Gregory, who had been silent, stepped forward with an indifferent look, sneering, "You are just a plaything. I don't care. I've slept with many women, and I never said I would marry you. Don't be wishful thinking. If Fiorello doesn't want you, I, Gregory, certainly won't either."
With that, Gregory walked arrogantly towards the exit of the wedding banquet.
Jenny cursed loudly, "Gregory, go to hell, you bastard."
She broke free from Holly's grip, pulled out the jewelry from her head, and stabbed at Gregory's back. "Go die!"
