Chapter 606 Jealousy

Jenny was guessing the call was from Eleanor when she heard Fiorello say to Eleanor on the other end of the line, "I'm with Maggie at the hospital for a prenatal checkup. We're still inside, and the results aren't out yet. I'll call you back once we have them."

"Prenatal checkup?"

"Maggie is pregnant?"

Jenny felt very jealous.

"Wasn't it said that Maggie couldn't get pregnant?"

"How is Maggie pregnant again?"

"Maggie is so lucky."

Jenny was afraid of being noticed by Fiorello, so she didn't dare stay long. She lowered her head and walked in another direction as if nothing had happened.

Fiorello, who was on the phone, didn't notice Jenny either.

Jenny didn't actually leave. She hid around the corner, waiting for Maggie to come out of the examination room. She waited until Maggie and Fiorello got the report and went to see the doctor. She eavesdropped on the doctor saying to Maggie and Fiorello, "Congratulations, it's twins."

Jenny clenched her fists. How could Maggie be so lucky?

Reflecting on the fact that she had given birth to Gregory's child yet had no idea where the child was, Jenny felt a surge of jealousy. Her wedding day, which should have been a joyous occasion, had turned out to be the most humiliating day of her life. In contrast, Maggie had enjoyed a beautiful wedding and was now happily pregnant with twins.

The news of the twins also caught Fiorello and Maggie by surprise. They were overjoyed; it was the only comforting thing amidst all the recent troubles.

Maggie was so excited that her voice trembled, "Fiorello, it's that child, he's really come back to us."

The lost baby had returned to them.

God had given them twins this time to make up for all their regrets.

Fiorello held Maggie's hand tightly, showing how excited he was inside.

Fiorello thanked the doctor repeatedly and asked about precautions.

Seeing that the two were about to come out, Jenny quickly left the hospital.

Fiorello told Eleanor about Maggie being pregnant with twins, which made Eleanor happy too.

When someone is happy, someone else is sad.

After returning from the hospital, the more Jenny thought about it, the angrier she got. She was now hiding everywhere, while Maggie was living a glamorous life.

"If I had known, I wouldn't have killed Kimberly. Keeping her around would have been useful. Now, I've killed her and helped Maggie by getting rid of her enemy. She's living smoothly in the Flores family and is now pregnant with twins. God is so unfair."

Jenny looked at Ivan, who was smoking nearby, and said, "Where is Kyle? I want to see Kyle. I helped him get Holden in, and he has to keep his promise. I can't stand Maggie living so well. Now that she's pregnant, get rid of the babies in her belly for me."

"You're just jealous. Didn't you check for this illness when you went to the hospital?" Ivan sneered, "Kyle doesn't need you to tell him what to do."

"Ivan, our interests are aligned now. If you don't act, I'll do it myself," Jenny said hatefully, "I won't let Maggie have a good life."

"Suit yourself," Ivan said, extinguishing his cigarette, "If you want to die faster, go ahead and act."

Jenny was furious, "I can't stand watching Maggie live so well."

"Whether you can stand it or not, you have to," Ivan said coldly, looking at Jenny, "Stay put and don't act rashly. Wait for Kyle's news."

Jenny was unwilling and asked, "Where is my son? Where did you take my son?"

Ivan got up and walked out without telling Jenny where the child was.

Jenny was very angry.

The news that Maggie was pregnant with twins reached Eleanor, who immediately bought many supplements and went to Sunset Hills to visit.

"Maggie, you need to take good care of yourself now. Stay safe and don't worry about anything else."

Eleanor was referring to the search for Adalia, but she didn't say it clearly for fear of upsetting Maggie.

Maggie understood. She had expected this result and wasn't surprised by Eleanor's reaction.

Maggie agreed on the surface, "Okay."

"That's right. If you need anything, just let me know," Eleanor said, looking at Maggie's belly with a smile, "Our family has a lot going on right now. This child is a gift from God, and I hope it brings good luck to the Flores family."

Arya brought over some fruit and said, "Maggie, you can't be willful anymore. You have to prioritize the baby in your belly."

Everyone's focus was now on Maggie's pregnancy. They didn't let her do anything, fearing she would get tired.

Maggie didn't say much. If it could make the elders feel at ease, why not go along with it?

After going through so much, Maggie had become more composed and thoughtful.

Maggie stayed home to rest for a few days. During this time, Brian had been keeping an eye on Isabella for Maggie.

After staying home for ten days, Isabella finally went out.

Brian saw Isabella leave and immediately followed her in his car.

After leaving her apartment, Isabella drove to a supermarket far from home and bought a lot of bread and ready-to-eat food, which she intended to take to Adalia.

Brian watched from across the street and was puzzled to see Isabella buying so much.

There was a supermarket near Isabella's apartment, so why did she come so far to shop?

Brian took pictures of Isabella buying things with his phone and followed her as she drove away.
