Chapter 348 Fiorello Was a Good Husband
At Cyberland Villa District.
Fiorello led Maggie to their new place, holding her hand as they strolled through the front yard, across the hall, and up to the second floor.
Maggie glanced around the luxurious mansion and asked, "Why does it look different from last time?"
"I had it renovated. After the anniversary celebration, our family will move in."
Fiorello guided her upstairs to the bedroom and gently asked, "Want to take a bath first?"
A bath could really lift one's spirits.
Maggie sat on the soft, large bed, looked at him, and asked, "Be honest. Did you lie to me again? Can you actually have kids? Did you deceive me because you knew I couldn't?"
"None of that matters anymore." Fiorello sat beside her, holding her shoulders. "You're my wife. Adalia is our daughter, and that's enough. Don't overthink it."
Maggie shook her head. "Fiorello, it's not that simple. Your parents, your grandmother, they all know I can't have kids. They won't accept me. Things can't go back to the way they were."
"Leave that to me." Fiorello gently brushed her hair aside, his voice deepening. "You married me, so these are my concerns to handle. It's my fault for not dealing with it earlier."
Maggie threw herself into Fiorello's arms, and angrily hit his chest. "Fiorello, you're so good to me that I don't even have the courage to leave you. You make it hard for me to let go. You shouldn't have come after me."
Fiorello smiled warmly, holding her hand. "Maggie, infertility is really a minor issue. The Flores family has Holden to have kids, and that's enough. Besides, no one says if you get married, you have to have kids."
Even though she knew he was just comforting her, Maggie didn't know how to argue against it.
"You think that way, but your parents and grandmother don't, and neither do I." Maggie got up from his embrace and looked at him. "Honey, I really want to have a child of our own."
When one truly loved someone, they would deeply desire to have a child with their partner, to watch the baby be born and grow up.
Fiorello smiled and reassured her, "With modern medicine, if you want a child, we can have one through IVF, once you're healthy. It's not a big deal."
Due to the car accident, Maggie's body was severely weakened, so having a child wasn't an option at the moment.
Thinking about the possibility of IVF, Maggie felt hopeful again and wasn't as upset.
"They were right; I'm so lucky to have met you."
He smiled and said, "Maybe I owed you too much in the past. Don't take Grandma's words to heart. She's just that way. She hasn't gotten along with my mom for over twenty years. The older she gets, the more stubborn she becomes."
"Fiorello, you're so wonderful." Maggie's praise was heartfelt. A husband who comforted his wife immediately was definitely a good husband.
He smiled and said, "You're just now realizing how great I am. You're my wife; I should be the one to comfort you. Unless it comes to the point of divorce, a man should understand that he needs to be considerate and comfort his wife. Otherwise, it just causes unnecessary conflict and, in the end, the couple still have to make up."
"That makes so much sense." Maggie gazed at him, kissed his lips passionately, and began to unbuckle his belt.
