Chapter 630 Adalia is Francis's Child

Maggie was out on a date with a man. If Fiorello found out, wouldn't that cause a rift?

A wife going on a date with another man, even if nothing substantial happened, would still make anyone feel uneasy.

Thinking this, Jenny stood up and said to Maggie, "Your friend is here, so I won't disturb you."

Originally, Maggie was just a bit annoyed by the other person asking too many personal questions and didn't think much of it.

But Jenny's comment, "Your friend is here," shocked her.

It was her first time meeting the man, so how did Jenny know Francis was her friend?

Jenny had said that without thinking and didn't realize anything was wrong.

Jenny got up to return to her seat, but Maggie suddenly called out to her, "You said your name is Christina, right? Didn't you mention adding each other on Facebook? Let's add each other. It's fate that we met."

Maggie's sudden request to add her on Facebook surprised Jenny, but she didn't think much of it. Getting closer to Maggie would only benefit her plan.

Jenny took out her phone and smiled innocently, "Miss Miller, you can scan my code."

Maggie scanned her Facebook and added her as a friend, noting her as "Christina."

Jenny accepted the friend request and internally mocked Maggie for being so gullible and easy to deceive.

After adding each other, Jenny returned to her seat and pretended to order a coffee.

Francis sat down, having seen the two chatting earlier. He glanced at Jenny and recognized her as the person he had met at the supermarket before.

Francis asked, "What was she talking to you about?"

"She said she's doing an emotional survey and just started her internship," Maggie replied vaguely, aware that Jenny was still nearby. She then asked Francis, "Do you have something to do? If you're busy, go ahead."

"There's some work at the office, but it's already handled," Francis said, glancing at Jenny at the next table before turning back to Maggie. "She lives in the apartment across the street. I saw her at the supermarket before."

Maggie had many questions but kept her composure and changed the subject to Visionary Futures Group, "The company has been busy lately with year-end tasks. Once Fiorello is free, let's have dinner together."

Francis was puzzled by the sudden mention of dinner.

Thinking it might be to thank him for Adalia's case, Francis went along, "You don't have to be so polite. It's my duty, and we've known each other for years. By the way, how's Adalia doing?"

"She's recovering well. Fiorello hired a new teacher for her, who came to our house today. I hope Adalia continues to improve."

Their conversation then mostly revolved around Adalia.

Jenny, at the next table, couldn't hear clearly but caught the name Adalia frequently and the mention of knowing each other for years. A thought suddenly occurred to her.

Could Adalia be Maggie and Francis's child?

When Francis arrested her, he was very strict, which felt contradictory. Now it seemed he was harsh because of Maggie, even arranging for police to guard her in shifts.

After she escaped, Francis was so eager to track her down. She didn't believe it was just his duty; it had to be because of something between Francis and Maggie.

Jenny's imagination ran wild, picturing Francis and Maggie as former lovers who were still secretly involved, betraying Fiorello, with Adalia as their illegitimate child.

While eavesdropping, Jenny pretended to play with her phone and started recording Maggie and Francis.

At that moment, Maggie suddenly stood up, ready to leave with Francis.

Francis said, "I'll go pay the bill."

Maggie nodded, "I'll go to the restroom."

Francis headed to the cashier first, while the restroom was in the opposite direction, requiring Maggie to pass by Jenny's seat.

As she passed by Jenny, Maggie deliberately let her phone slip from her hand, dropping it to the ground.
