Chapter 710 Father and Daughter Look Alike
The janitor didn't pamper Wendy at all; Wendy didn't look like a rich person no matter how you saw her.
It was like how truly wealthy people, even if they carried a fake bag, others would think it was real.
While poor people, even if they bought a real one, would be thought of as fake.
This had to do with a person's demeanor and confidence.
The janitor spat at Wendy and walked away with the bucket.
Wendy was so angry that she felt dizzy. She looked at her dress and felt even more annoyed.
Wendy went home and washed the dress by hand, only to find out afterward that the label said it was not washable.
An $8,000 dress was ruined just like that.
Sunset Hills.
Maggie was still learning to manage the company with Fiorello.
Fiorello planned to bring Maggie into the management team once she recovered, giving her enough authority.
Maggie had become very familiar with the company. Even without Fiorello's guidance, she could handle some matters on her own, becoming more adept.
Fiorello felt very pleased. He taught Maggie and watched her grow bit by bit, feeling gratified and proud.
When Fiorello got home, he first went to see the babies. The adorable looks of the two babies could wash away his day's fatigue, and Adalia's progress in her studies also made him proud.
Maggie was in the room reviewing project cases that Fiorello had handled before.
After seeing the babies, Fiorello went into the bedroom and saw Maggie sitting on the sofa so focused. He walked over, sat down beside her, and wrapped his arms around her waist from the side. "Maggie, you smell so good."
Maggie had taken a bath, and her body exuded the fragrance of the shower gel.
Maggie knew what he was thinking and said, "Last time, my mouth went numb, and my face got stiff. I'm not helping you today."
Such things need to be tantalizing; you can't let a man be too satisfied.
Fiorello lightly flicked her forehead with a smile. "What are you thinking? Let's take Adalia skiing tomorrow. Ever since Katie and Nate were born, we've somewhat neglected Adalia. Let's take her out to have some fun."
Maggie had the same thought. She originally planned to let Adalia play at home with her younger siblings while Eleanor was away, and then take Adalia out once Eleanor returned.
"Sure, when are we going tomorrow?"
Fiorello smiled warmly and said, "We'll go when we wake up. No rush. The most important thing about going out to play is the mood and comfort. No need to be deliberate. The ski resort is ours; we can go anytime."
"Rich and powerful Visionary Futures Group leader, then I'll leave it to you. Tomorrow, Adalia and I will follow your lead."
Thinking about going skiing tomorrow, Maggie was still very excited. She hadn't skied in many years.
The last time she went skiing was when she had just started college.
Knowing they were going skiing, Adalia woke up early the next day. The family of three set off, leaving Katie and Nate at home, with Arya and the nannies taking care of them.
Arya, holding Nate, saw Maggie and the others off at the door. Seeing Adalia happily getting into the car, Arya felt happy too.
Adalia had been through a lot recently, so it was good to take her out for a bit.
Seeing that Maggie and Fiorello still valued Adalia, Arya felt reassured.
At the ski resort.
It was the weekend, and many people came to ski, most of them parents with their children.
Fiorello helped Adalia put on her ski boots, held her ski poles, and put on her helmet. Adalia was very happy, excitedly gesturing: Dad, I'm so happy.
"I'm happy too," Fiorello said with a smile. "In a bit, Dad will teach you how to ski. Let's go."
Fiorello had already put on his ski boots and led Adalia to the slope.
At this moment, Maggie slid in front of them with a drift on her skis.
Maggie's face was beaming with confidence. "Adalia, Fiorello."
Adalia waved to greet them, and Fiorello was in a great mood. The family of three had a lot of fun.
Adalia learned quickly. In just over ten minutes, she had mastered skiing. Like a snow fairy, Adalia became the highlight of the slope, with other kids following her lead.
A parent complimented, "Your daughter is very beautiful, just like her dad."
Maggie glanced at Fiorello. Indeed, when Fiorello and Adalia smiled, they really looked alike.
