Chapter 762 Social Crisis
The news that Fiorello was still alive was enough to lift everyone's spirits.
Holden was both shocked and delighted, "Really? Maggie, where is my brother? What else did Brian say?"
"We haven't found him yet. Brian just said that your brother might have been taken by someone," Maggie said, also thinking of Ivan. She planned to finish her current project in the next couple of days and then go find Ivan.
She wanted to personally look for Fiorello.
Holden immediately became worried, "Could it be one of my brother's enemies? That's very likely. Where is Brian now? I'll go see him."
"He said he was going to Chaosville. It's chaotic over there, so you better not go," Maggie said. "You have a meeting with Harold tonight to discuss the South Bay project. Follow up on the progress."
"Okay." Holden was both happy and heartbroken to see Maggie's growth. If Fiorello hadn't gone missing, Maggie wouldn't have needed to grow up and be so strong.
Maggie returned to her office to review some documents and had a meeting to attend.
By 7 PM, the driver, Charlie, was waiting downstairs with the car. Maggie, along with William and two employees from the PR department, headed to Happy Pub.
William had looked into Harold's preferences and reminded Maggie, "Maggie, Harold Rogers is a womanizer. Be careful."
"Okay," Maggie said with a cold smile. "Which man isn't?"
As a woman doing business, she was bound to be affected by these things. Even if she didn't use her looks and figure, just by appearing in the business world, others would take these factors into account.
Her looks and figure would inevitably influence the other party's judgment, making cooperation easier.
Lust was human nature. Everyone likes to look at beautiful things. Being able to restrain oneself is what defines a gentleman.
Maggie had heard Fiorello mention Harold before. He was a womanizer but wouldn't force women. He wanted women to willingly serve him.
Such a man posed no real danger.
Maggie and her team entered the private room at the club. Harold was already there with two women, one of whom was Lucy.
Maggie was momentarily surprised to see Lucy, but quickly composed herself and extended her hand to Harold on the sofa, "Harold, sorry to keep you waiting."
Harold, 35 years old, had an average appearance, a long face, and a medium build, with a somewhat scholarly air.
Maggie was dressed in a black suit and trousers, which were very conservative, but it made her even more alluring to men.
The well-tailored suit accentuated Maggie's tall and curvy figure, exuding femininity.
Her delicate features made it hard for people to look away, and she had a faint fragrance about her. Her presence instantly made the two women beside Harold seem ordinary.
Since Fiorello's incident, she had always worn black.
"Mrs. Miller, you look even better in person than on TV," Harold said, reaching out to shake Maggie's hand firmly.
Maggie only touched his hand with her fingertips before pulling back.
Harold sized up Maggie's figure, not lecherously, but with undisguised interest.
Maggie sat down, openly letting Harold look at her, and signaled William to pour Harold a drink.
Maggie crossed her legs and said straightforwardly, "Harold, take your time to look. Once you're done, we can discuss the South Bay project."
Maggie's directness made Harold a bit embarrassed for a moment.
"Mrs. Miller, you are very honest," Harold said, appreciating Maggie more. "Very straightforward."
Maggie said humorously, "Everyone likes to look at beautiful things. It's okay to look a few more times."
If she didn't want to be looked at, she might as well stay home. Since she was out, there was no need to be shy.
"Mrs. Miller, I like your straightforwardness," Harold said, sending the two women beside him away. He then said to Maggie, "Fiorello had an accident. It's a pity for someone as young as you to be widowed. Why not consider marrying me? I promise you won't regret it."
Maggie laughed, "Harold, you must be joking. You're the 67th man to propose to me."
Harold laughed too, "What a pity I wasn't the first."
Maggie raised her glass, "Harold, I've arranged a program for you tonight. I guarantee you'll be satisfied. Let's not talk business today; let's just enjoy ourselves."
Harold was intrigued, "What kind of program?"
Maggie smiled and signaled to William.
William stepped out and soon returned with eight stunningly beautiful women, each more gorgeous than the last.
Maggie stood up and walked over to the women, saying to Harold, "They will take good care of you tonight, Harold. Are you satisfied?"
