Chapter 424 Seeing Through the Plot
Jenny got up and followed the ringing sound, while Maggie held her breath.
Maggie could hear Jenny's high heels getting closer.
Jenny checked behind the pillar but saw nothing. She did hear a man talking on the phone in the hallway.
She glanced over, saw a fat guy she didn't know, and walked back.
Once Jenny left, Maggie slipped out from behind the fire escape door next to the pillar.
When Jenny had approached earlier, Maggie had quickly hidden behind the door.
Not wanting to risk it, Maggie held her waist and headed towards the club's lobby.
Meanwhile, Kimberly saw Jenny return and asked, "Who was there?"
"Just some guy on the phone," Jenny replied. "Kimberly, where's Fiorello socializing tonight, and when should I go?"
"No rush. It's at the Seagull Hotel. Fiorello's event ends around 10 PM. The room's ready, and someone will help him to rest. You just need to take the key and go in," Kimberly said with a smile. "Hopefully, it'll work the first time, and you can give me a grandson."
"Kimberly," Jenny said shyly. Thinking of Maggie's pregnancy, she added, "What about Maggie's baby?"
"Don't worry. I'll handle it. She got away this time, but not next time," Kimberly snorted. "I've arranged for some medicine. We'll make her take it. No way I'll let her illegitimate child be born into the Flores family. When the time comes, I'll kick her and Adalia out."
To Kimberly, Maggie was a stain on the Flores family's reputation that had to be removed.
Seeing Kimberly's hatred for Maggie, Jenny was thrilled.
With Kimberly's help, she wouldn't have to lift a finger against Maggie.
She just had to wait to become Kimberly's granddaughter-in-law.
Maggie found a seat to process what she had just heard.
Everything Kimberly did was a sham. She never liked Maggie and was setting Jenny up with Fiorello.
Maggie couldn't let that happen.
"Maggie, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you and you didn't answer your phone," Emily said, sitting down with a smile. "Why were you looking for Jenny?"
"I was in the restroom and didn't hear my phone," Maggie lied. "I had something to discuss with her, but it's not important now. By the way, Emily, don't tell anyone I was here."
"Maggie, why so secretive?"
"I need to handle some trash," Maggie replied.
Emily was puzzled.
As night fell, Maggie got a call from Fiorello, who had a social engagement and told her to rest early.
Fiorello always informed her of his plans.
The club where Fiorello was socializing was upstairs from the Seagull Hotel. Since Kimberly wanted to set up Jenny and her grandson, she would likely set the stage at the Seagull Hotel.
Maggie went to the Seagull Hotel early, and Jenny eagerly went there too.
Jenny wore sexy clothes and sprayed a special perfume with aphrodisiac effects.
As long as Fiorello smelled it, combined with alcohol, she would succeed.
Jenny booked a room and waited. Around ten, she got a message from Kimberly.
Kimberly: [Room 1122, Fiorello is staying there. Someone will bring you the key shortly.]
Fiorello was drunk and had been helped back to the room by William to sober up.
Jenny was excited when she got the message.
After a while, a hotel staff member brought her the room key.
