Chapter 508 The Murderer Confirmed

Holden was getting more and more lost.

He looked at the two of them and asked, "Fiorello, Caleb, what are you guys talking about? What do you mean?"

Caleb picked up another crime scene photo and said, "Mr. Holden Flores, Mr. Flores, you two don't really look like brothers."

Even if Holden wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he got the jab. "Caleb, cut the crap and speak plainly."

Caleb grinned and said, "It means Mrs. Flores didn't die right away after being stabbed, but this autopsy report says otherwise. The second stab hit her heart, shattering it, leaving no time to react. She died instantly. So, how did Mrs. Flores call for help?"

Holden's head was spinning. He thought for a moment and said, "I think I get it, but I also don't."

Caleb asked, "Can a dead person call for help?"

Holden shook his head. "No."

Caleb asked again, "Then how could she call for help if she was dead?"

This question was confusing again. Holden said, "If she's dead, she definitely can't call for help. Only a living person can call for help."

Caleb laughed. "Exactly. The autopsy report says Mrs. Flores was stabbed twice. The second stab was the fatal one. Kimberly didn't die from the first stab; she died from the second."

Fiorello's face grew darker, and his murderous aura intensified. "After Maggie stabbed Grandma, she left the bathroom. Grandma wasn't dead yet. Jenny went in, and Grandma asked Jenny for help. The blood on Grandma got on Jenny's pant leg. But when we arrived, Grandma was dead. The second stab was made by a second person."

Caleb smiled and said, "This case is actually very simple. If you look closely at the evidence and information, you can find the problem. However, these details are the easiest to overlook. When Maggie confessed, they probably didn't check thoroughly. Mr. Flores, you probably weren't in the mood to think about these things carefully at the time. Otherwise, the mystery would have been solved long ago."

Holden finally understood a bit and exclaimed, "Fiorello, you mean Jenny killed Grandma? Why would she kill Grandma? There's no reason."

Caleb said, "A person must have a reason to commit a crime. If you can't find the reason, it just means you haven't discovered it yet. I only analyze photos. As for the motive, that's beyond my expertise."

Fiorello pondered. "The result is the motive."

Holden was confused again. "What motive?"

Caleb caught on and said, "Mr. Flores means that he and Maggie got divorced, and Maggie became a murderer. That's the motive. Mr. Holden Flores, with your brain, you really don't seem like a Flores. You two brothers are so different."

Holden pretended to kick him. "Caleb, do you believe I'll beat you up?"

Caleb dodged and stood up, laughing. "My task is complete, Mr. Flores. Don't forget your promise."

Fiorello's voice was cold. "After graduation, report directly to my office."

Caleb laughed. "Thanks, Mr. Flores. See you next time."

After Caleb left, Holden asked angrily, "Fiorello, should we call the cops now and arrest Jenny? She killed Grandma and still wants to marry into the Flores family. She's dreaming."

"What evidence do you have to convict her?" Fiorello looked at Holden coldly.

Holden blurted out, "Throw her into the sea to feed the fish."

"That would be too easy for her." Fiorello wanted Jenny dead, but she couldn't die now. "If Jenny dies, Maggie will carry the label of a murderer for the rest of her life."

Holden slapped his forehead. "I almost forgot about that. Fiorello, let's overturn Maggie's case and have it retried. This is the evidence. How can Jenny argue against it?"

Fiorello stood up. "I'm going to see Maggie. Keep this matter to yourself for now. Don't act rashly or alert the family without my orders."
