Chapter 733 Fiorello Becomes Ryan

Fiorello's barrage of questions left Melissa shocked, confused, and delighted.

Fiorello didn't remember anything?

Melissa suppressed her emotions and asked, "You don't remember your name? Where are you from? Where you live, you don't remember any of it?"

Fiorello tried hard to recall, but his head started to ache intensely, and he couldn't remember anything.

He held his head in his hands, looking pained.

"I don't remember anything!" Fiorello panicked, grabbing Melissa's hand and asking, "Who am I? How did I end up here?"

Fiorello's eyes were bloodshot, and Melissa was frightened. She tried to calm down and lied casually, "You're Ryan Brooks, I'm Melissa, we're boyfriend and girlfriend, you forgot?"

Fiorello was unfamiliar with this information, looking bewildered, "You're my girlfriend?"

"Yes, we had a fight, you drove off in a huff, and then you had an accident," Melissa said. "Wait here, I'll go get the doctor."

Melissa pulled her hand back and nervously went out. She took a moment to compose herself in the hallway, quickly formulating a plan in her mind before going to find the doctor.

The doctor came to examine Fiorello and said, "The patient suffered a severe head injury, and there's still a blood clot, which has caused amnesia."

Melissa asked anxiously, "Will he recover? When will he get better?"

"That's uncertain. He might remember soon, or it could take a long time. It depends on the situation. Family members should try to describe past events to help him regain his memory."

Melissa thanked the doctor, "Thank you, doctor."

After seeing the doctor off, Melissa returned to find Fiorello staring blankly out the window. She thought to herself, if Fiorello never remembers, that would be wonderful.

Such an excellent man, if he were hers, that would be great.

No, this man was hers now.

This was a gift from God.

Timothy came back with food, and Melissa quickly pulled him aside to explain Fiorello's situation.

Timothy was surprised, "Fiorello doesn't remember anything?"

Melissa said, "Yes, I tested him just now. He doesn't even recognize me, and he doesn't know his name."

"Melissa, what do we do? He doesn't recognize us, how can we make him repay the favor?"

"Timothy, you're so naive. Fiorello's abilities are the greatest repayment." Melissa smiled, "From today on, his name is Ryan, and he's my boyfriend. He had a car accident because we had a fight. You need to keep your mouth shut and not let anything slip."

Timothy was shocked, "Melissa, what are you planning? He's Maggie's husband, how can he be your boyfriend? If the Flores family finds out, or if Fiorello remembers, we're done for."

Timothy thought Melissa was too bold; such a deception couldn't last.

"By then, it will be too late." Melissa sneered, then looked at Timothy and pleaded, "Timothy, you have to help me."

Timothy had never refused Melissa's requests.

"Melissa, I'll help you, but I'm afraid we can't keep this up. He's Fiorello, how can he become Ryan? If he starts asking questions, how do we cover it up? Do we make up a Ryan? If he goes to the police, they'll find out quickly."

"Timothy, we don't need to make anything up. We already have a Ryan in our family. Don't you remember, Desmond Brooks' son is named Ryan, and he went missing a year ago while hiking." Melissa said, "If I remember correctly, Desmond hasn't deregistered his son yet. Back then, when getting a driving license, there were no fingerprints required, and Ryan and Fiorello look somewhat alike. As long as Desmond acknowledges this son, Fiorello becomes Ryan."

Timothy listened in shock. While he was still anxious about how to pull off the deception, Melissa had already come up with a plan.

Melissa was also relieved that they had used Timothy's identity to handle Fiorello's discharge paperwork, and Fiorello's face was bandaged.

In this small town of San Diego, the hospital staff had never seen Fiorello in person and wouldn't recognize him.

To avoid exposure, Melissa decided to take Fiorello back as soon as possible.

Melissa urged Timothy, "You need to go to Desmond's place in the countryside and bring him back. This must be done without giving anything away."

"Melissa, how can you be so sure Desmond will accept Fiorello as his son?"

"Desmond's son died, and he's been grieving, refusing to deregister him. He must be hoping for Ryan's return. Even if he knows it's fake, to fill the void, he'll accept it." Melissa said confidently, "Not to mention, Fiorello and Ryan do look somewhat alike."
